If a game's bad, I'm not going to play it, regardless of race or gender.
If a game's good, I'll play it in spite of difference in race or gender.
We've been making games with minority protags since the 80s. Make good games, the characters should fit right in to the gameplay and story you're creating.
That is all.
Ironically, the ex-boyfriend was a way more thorough journalist who provided more sources and documentation in essentially one blog post than all the fallout articles by these so called games journalists combined.
I'm excited for the "No Really, It's Scary" map pack.
7.9, I can't think of a more debate-sparking score than that.
"I want the 2th!"
"YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE 2TH!"
Get 140% Off? Wow. Looks like I found a new career. Time to buy some games!
Damn, that Astro headset looks mighty fine, but it's $300. And I thought I was going overboard with $120 Pulses.
Though if I didn't have a PS4 and play Destiny to death already, if I woke up to that bundle on Xmas I would probably cry.
Disclosure: I played the Titanfall Beta and got it day one on PC. I love it and have returned to playing it several times since March.
I do, however think that it was, despite its great design ideas, partially a failure. I played it again last night and every single one of the DLC map playlists had 0 worldwide players. The most played list was Attrition with just over 700 worldwide players. This game is great and I'm looking forward to the sequel, but I believe that too m...
Probably because it's 5X/10X the ad impressions. Cads.
Sadly, Rare hasn't made a groundbreaking title in the last 10 years. Any life or creative spark has been drained, and Tim and Chris Stamper, the main creative force behind the team, left in 2007. Probably their best game in the last decade was Viva Pinata, which for a studio which haphazardly made the now legendary GoldenEye multiplayer, is kind of a joke.
They pulled an Infinity Ward before Infinity Ward did it. It's just a name now.
Unfortunately, old media has been corrupt for a long time.
My take on it has been that games media has resisted corruption by being more "enthusiast" than journalism. But now that it is taken more seriously and most identify themselves as journalists, it has come to light that many do NOT have degrees in journalism and have views against gaming rather than for.
So we're stuck with a lot of sub-par reporting and gaming anti-enthusiasts? What happ...
Let's put it this way: Would you like to play a game where all your actions and characters and story are censored and inhibited based on the assumed political correctness forced on you by society?
No?
Then why are these people trying to turn games into that? Only people who don't like games would try push that on to us.
...Oh.
May the tato be with you.
What a funny story, Legion.
I just hope Naughty Dog actually pulls off 1080p60 for UC4 and shows these fools how to take advantage of console hardware.
I don't think going after indie games is especially lucrative compared to bestselling giants like GTA or COD, but it does create a friendlier image and has helped fill in the sparseness between AAA releases. There are many great indie games and AAAs are learning a lot from the risks and new ideas that indies take. Without new and fresh ideas that may not be successful, the AAA industry could easily stagnate into generic FPSs and 3rd person shooters.
I think these guys are awesome. It goes to show you that honesty and transparency does wonders in terms of PR and goodwill. Compare what these guys are doing to the unfortunate mess that was Clang, or the visual downgrade debacle of Watch Dogs. I have a lot of faith that this project will be a solid title when it comes out. Looks like these guys are taking the project very seriously and are organized.
Fez: 2d pixel platformer with world rotating mechanic.
Poncho: 2d pixel platformer with depth mechanic.
I best be on to make Sombrero: 2d pixel platformer with a wall phasing mechanic.
I think they got that backwards.
...directed by J.J. Abrams.
But seriously, this looks slick as hell.
