Obviously just trolling for hits. Not biting, sorry.
Exactly. For all we know, the "treat" available for importing ME1 and ME2 saves might very well be available for PS3 players thanks to the comic in ME2.
Of course, I'll still miss out on voice controls, but that's fine with me since I wouldn't have used them anyway.
Looking at the patch list, most of these changes are things that should have been available at launch. It took this long to do custom matches? Really?
This was obvious after last year's E3 -- not sure why the author of this piece is just noticing it now. Kinect was obviously a commercial success for Microsoft, but it sucks for core gamers.
I had to turn the difficulty down once in Mass Effect 2, so I get where the writer is coming from and he has a good point.
But Batman? Really? That game was extremely easy all the way through. It was pretty easy even on Hard.
In fairness, it's not just Destructoid. If their review was an Edge-like outlier, then sure I could understand criticizing them for being too harsh, fishing for hits, etc. but this game is getting panned almost across the entire spectrum.
Whatever. Skyrim looks like it might be my personal GOTY.
Looks pretty much exactly like Demon's Souls. Can't wait for this.
Switching discs does not beat mandatory installing.
I know it's only a tenth of a point, but anything below a 9 for this game is a little silly.
If puzzle games aren't your thing, that's fine. I can understand somebody telling me that they don't like Portal. But any competent reviewer ought to be able to at least appreciate what Valve has accomplished with this and score it accordingly.
Note to self: Never take Gamekult's advice about anything, ever.
Why would that suck? 2014 sounds perfect to me. Lots of good games still coming out for the PS3; I'm in no hurry to move on to the next generation.
My copy will be arriving later today, and I'm also very interested to see if consoles will be able to able to play PC-generated user levels. That would be sweet. I'm hoping that at least these are available for PS3 users -- that should add all kinds of value to this game.
LOL. Well put.
I disagreed because things are different today than they were when the PS2 and PS3 launched. With the economy the way it is, this is not the time to be launching a new console. Sony and Microsoft both know this, which is why the PS4 and XBox 720 (or whatever) will probably arrive a couple of years later than history might sugggest.
And besides, the PS3 is still going strong with a parade of awesome games in the pipeline.
I played the hell out of this game on the 2600. Good times.
Sounds like a crappy remake.
I like "collection" trophies in open-world games. It's fun to explore and hunt for feathers/flags/packages/whatev er. I didn't do the blast shards in inFamous because there were just too many, but that's fine. I can live without getting platinum for every game I play.
I can understand why somebody might prefer New Vegas to ME2 (open world vs. linear gameplay, turn-based combat with VATS vs. FPS, longer, etc.). But come on. ME2 is excellent, and it's infinitely better than New Vegas from a technical standpoint. Ranking this below New Vegas on some kind of objective scale is just trolling for hits, which you're not getting from me.
Looking forward to the NA release, whenever that is.
I forgave Sony a long time ago.
I'll never forgive Anonymous. They can rot in hell.
