I hope they do a better job with DLC than they did for BC2. Months and months of the same maps only with different modes ("Oh boy -- now I can play squad DM on yet another map that I'm already burned out on.") doesn't cut it.
When they finally got around to making actual new maps, a lot of people had already moved on. Which was a shame because they were actually really good.
360 owners get a 30 day head start on DLC.

30 days isn't that big a deal. I think the timed-exclusive DLC for FO:3 and FO:NV were longer than that, although I never played any of those.
Given the release calendar for the next several months, I don't think I'll have any problem finding games to play.

Yep. I jumped back in a few weeks ago after not playing at all for several months, and I was surprised at how many players were in the fairly low levels, under 25 or so. Looks like a lot of folks picked this relatively recently.
Terrible list. How do you include super-easy platinums like Uncharted 2 and Fallout 3 while leaving out Demon's Souls and Killzone 2?
Also, anybody who got platinum in Motorstorm: Pacific Rift will point out that that's a glaring omission too.

Nothing, if you're into that sort of thing. But most people who post on gaming-related sites like this tend to prefer hardcore titles, and that's not the audience Kinect is catering to.
I don't doubt that this will be better on PC than consoles, but BF:BC2 was still pretty awesome on consoles. If BF2 is just more of the same, it will be way better than decent.
The thing that made Demon's Souls not-really-as-hard-as-the-revi ews-made-it-out-to-be is the fact that almost every single boss in the game is either piss easy or can be glitched. I'm sure I'm not the only guy who got Flamelurker stuck behind that ribcage, who read a magazine while letting the False King die from poison, and who killed the first Maneater with arrows. The sequel could be extremely difficult if they make each boss fight more of a straight-up contest.
I would like to play Alan Wake. That seems like a game that I would probably enjoy.
Otherwise, there's honestly not a single game in the 360's library that I have any interest in, now that Mass Effect is multiplatform.

I find it really hard to believe that Gears 3 is going to "get lost" in the flood of other fall releases. This is the one significant exclusive coming out for the 360 in 2011, it has a gigantic following, and it's one of if not the flagship franchise for the console (Halo being the only other contender). Of course it's going to sell great. No need to move it up.

I'll be buying BF3 for myself MW3 for my son. Pachter is right (!) that CoD will easily outsell Battlefied; it's a way more accessible franchise.

Same here. I'm basically okay with online passes for multiplayer -- though those are annoying too -- but locking out some of the single player content is going too far IMO.
I probably wasn't going to buy RAGE any time soon if at all (too much other stuff coming out), so admittedly it's not that big a deal, but I don't like the precedent.

Wait, what? I have yet to play a Bethesda game that isn't buggy as hell. I mean, I have high hopes for Skyrim and all, but there is nothing in Bethesda's track record to give me any confidence that this game will be any different.
