I'm looking forward to this game, but 300 points for a knife kill is idiotic. This is just going to lead to more people running around knifing people instead of playing the game like normal. Hopefully they rethink this one before launch.

I would have bought TM, but yeah that would have meant passing on some other major title that now I'll get to play instead. A delay works for me.

Why is this a big deal? They're obviously right.

Oh come on. If somebody wants to tell me that they didn't enjoy RDR and it just wasn't their personal cup of tea, that's fine. But any gamer ought to be able to acknowledge that it's a well-made game. One of the worst games of the decade? That's just retarded.

For me personally:

1. Skyrim
2. Battlefield 3
3. Dark Souls
4. Uncharted 3
5. Twisted Metal

BF3 will win the victory with my wallet. That's that matters to me.

Limitless potential for on-rails games.

Yeah, I really couldn't care less whether Battlefield "overthows" COD. All that matters is that I get to play it and it's going to have a great long-term community. I don't play sales.

Agreed 100%. Everything he dislikes is the reason I loved BC2 and have no interest in COD.

That's the nice thing about competition. Those of us who want tactical gameplay can look forward to BF3. People who want a more arcadey shooter (not my thing but there's nothing wrong that) can pick up MW3.

How is preordering a waste of time and money? When I preorder through Amazon, the game shows up on my door on release day, which actually saves me a few mintues since I don't have to swing through a store to pick it up. And I routinely save $10-$20 thanks to their preorder bonuses.

In other words, your post is more or less the exact opposite of the truth.

It's not like Microsoft has many exclusives of their own to talk about, so I guess they might as well devote bandwith to talking about Sony's exlusives.

I don't agree with the article, but the guy raised some reasonable points. It's just as okay to explain why you don't like the Mass Effect franchise as it would be for me to explain why I think The Grapes of Wrath is one of the most overrated pieces of tripe ever written in the English language. You're free to disagree, but that's what makes conversation interesting.

No matter how great a particular game might be, it should never be off-limits to cri...

You bring up a really good point about Insanity. When I played through ME2 the first time, I couldn't understand why it got such great reviews. It was definitely good, but the combat sequences were extremely repetitive and you could slog your way through every single encounter by just taking cover and spamming Incinerate (or whatever).

When I gave it a second playthrough on Insanity, it was like I was playing an entirely different game. All of the sudden tactics ma...

I'll definitely pick up RE4 assuming it's in the $10-$15 range. I'm not sure about CV. I liked that one too, but I don't have the same hankering to replay it.

No, RE5 really was crap. It didn't have any of the atmosphere of RE4, Sheva's AI was a huge pain (just let me play alone please), and while RE4 wasn't really survival horror, RE5 didn't even try to maintain any pretense at all about being anything other than an action game with poor controls.

Sorry, but it's true. RE5 is also crap when compared to Dead Space and Dead Space 2, both of which did a vastly better job of merging horror and action.

Meh. I loved RE4, but RE5 was pretty crappy. As of now, I wouldn't even consider buying this on day one. That's subject to revision as we learn more about the game, but Capcon lost me with their last installment.

ME2 was mainly an action-adventure game. It's kind of hard to move ME3 even more in that direction without removing the RPG elements entirely.

Sadly, I actually owned both Pac-Man and ET for the 2600 when I was a kid, which probably explains why I'm so jaded and cynical today.

My favorite part was the tampon commercial, followed by a broken link. Nice job.

It's probably going too far to call KZ3 a flop, and it's definitely not "one of the worst games of 2011," but it was the most disappointing game of this gen for me.

KZ3 was sort of okay, but it was a huge letdown from KZ2, which was stellar.
