It seems like even most Xbox fans are conceding that Microsoft took one on the chin this time around.
That looks really good.
Yep. Not as good as PS+, but better than the current XBL Gold, I guess.
I already have U3 and XCOM, but that is a fantastic update for those that don't have these games already.
Resident Evil 4 is one of my all-time favorites. Sorry.
Yep. The ball is now in Sony's court. If they follow suit -- and really there is no indication that they won't -- this will take a lot of the luster off the next generation of consoles.
Gameplay is more important than realism. Personally I don't like playing games where you die nearly instantly.
Sounds fun and innovative, but I'm not sure about 4 vs. 4. When teams are this small, one idiot can ruin it for everybody. (And I'm often the idiot -- I'm not particularly good at this kind of MP game).
Nice update this month. Not sure when I'll get around to all these, but they're welcome.
Hmmm. I was planning to be fully switched over to the PS4 by then. I'll still have my PS3 of course, but I'm not sure that I'll want to go back, even for Dark Souls 2.
Both consoles have too large an install base for third-party exclusives to make a lot of sense. I'd be surprised if either of these titles was an exclusive.
Agreed. I have no idea if I'm even going to be interested in the multiplayer at all, so there's no way I can evaluate whether the DLC is worth it or not.
I have a hard time seeing this game as a MP shooter like Uncharted was. In fact, I'm not sure how MP fits into the survival horror feel of the game at all. But Naughty Dog has certainly earned the benefit of the doubt, and I'm buying this game for SP anyway. If MP turns out to be good, it's a bonus.
I agree that if one firm uses DRM this way, the other probably will too. I disagree that it's no big deal though. This is a bad development for the industry IMO when it inevitably pushes low-income or price-sensitive people away from gaming.
Then again, who would have predicted that one company could get away with selling (literally) the only electronic device on the market that charges you to use your own internet connection? So maybe Sony and MSFT will diverge on DRM...
Why does Big Brother look so much like Victor Sullivan? He's got me sweating like a whore in church.
I played ET and the 2600 version of Pac Man. No matter how bad AC3 is, I'm sure it's probably better than either of those games.
1. Did not run over any orphans on the way to the reveal.
2. No RROD live onstage.
3. Nobody accidentally dropped a racial slur.
4. Lights and sound system operated correctly.
5. Ghost dog.
The Xbox One is usable in any manor. It's also usable in any chateau, cottage, or estate.
Seriously. There is no way Sony could have crammed everything in their reveal into an hour. Sony showed specs and a bunch of a games. Microsoft showed The Price is Right and a dog. That's why one conference was longer than the other.
Same here. My initial thought was that this was going to be a steampunkp-themed L4D, which I don't particularly want. A TPS action/adventure game in this setting would be most welcome though.
