That's reasonable. I don't think anybody could fairly expect Sony to fork over the full retail version of a brand new game (essentially) for free.
@RobAlmighty -- Yes, I know. I posted before it was fixed.
And no, I won't be throwing it in the trash. :)
Same here. Glad I preordered early.
Yes, Kinect is definitely the enemy.
This really pisses me off. My copy is out for delivery and will be waiting for me when I get home. I rarely preorder mainly-SP games anymore because you can't trust professional reviews and so many games ship with major bugs and glitches, but I figured I'd be safe this time with Naughty Dog.
Guess I was wrong. Very disappointing.
Practice mode for vehicles is awesome. I never flew a chopper a single time in BC2 because I never wanted to be "that guy" who wasted it by crashing immediately after launch. I would have loved to have the opportunity to actually learn how to pilot the damn thing on my own.
The author is complaining about how the price in Europe is proportionally quite a bit higher than the price in USD. It's not a completely unreasonable point.
Yes please.
That's what I was thinking when I saw the E3 trailer during Sony's conference, but they've said since then that it's a linear third-person action/adventure game.
Which makes me happy. Personally I don't like games that revolve around co-op, but that's just me.
I don't like the concept of paying for online play, but if Sony uses this revenue stream to invest in an improved online infrastructure, I'm reluctantly okay with it, especially considering that it's main competitor has a similar charge.
Not that it affects me personally, since I'm a Plus subscriber anyway.
Yeah, but in the case of DriveClub, we know that Plus members are going to be restricted to certain tracks and cars. Depending on how many tracks or cars we're talking about, that sounds more like a demo than an actual free game.
I'm am Plus subscriber right now, and it's been a great value. I'll definitely stick with it next gen, and I completely understand the bind that Sony is in here. Nobody can realistically expect them to give away full-blown brand ne...
The EA guy's comment at the end was essentially that he could neither confirm nor deny that this would be coming to the PS4. That pretty much tells you that yep, it's a timed exclusive.
It'll be interesting to see when the PS4 version drops. As a general rule, people don't tend to go back and pick up old multiplayer games. It's one thing to go back and play Bioshock or Mass Effect when exclusivity runs out, but would I want to pick up a year old (or s...
"Obviously a business relationship between Electronic Arts, Respawn and Microsoft led to this," EA Games Label boss Patrick Söderlund - the executive directly responsible for managing Titanfall - told Eurogamer. "There are always reasons for that, but we can't go into them."
Of course! But, from EA's perspective, will Titanfall ever come to PlayStation, perhaps after Xbox exclusivity has ended?
"We haven't communicate...
Feel free to stick with the XB1 if you want, but please get your facts straight in your article:
"The Order: 1886 aside, almost all of the best games from the Sony show will also be available on Xbox One where as next-gen Forza and Halo will be Xbox exclusive as expected, so will Minecraft, Killer Instinct and Dead Rising 3."
You left out Killzone Shadow Fall, DriveClub, Knack, and inFamous Second Son. If none of those games appeal to you, that'...
Honestly, I thought the offer of DriveClub for your $50 Plus subscription was too good to be true, so I'm not surprised this is scaled back.
If there's an option to buy the offline part separately, I'd be completely satisfied with this.
Microsoft's press conference was a lot more entertaining as a gamer. Sony's was kind of boring up until the end, when Jack Trenton curb-stomped Microsoft.
But who really cares. The important thing is that one console has DRM, weaker hardware and a higher price point. The other console has a stable of first party studios that you know are going to supply a steady stream of games over the course of this generation. That's what matters.
I don't think this guy has a storied career in PR ahead of him.
Figured that was the case, but glad to see clarification.
I like the potential for better characters in this installment. Sorry, but Cole always seemed really generic and flat to me, and Zeke was a dick.
I'm about 2/3 of the way through the game, and I just can't take any review seriously that hands out less than a 9. So far, this is shaping up to be my favorite game of this generation, at least the SP part.
