But the problem is, is that it's carrying over to EA's other games as well (Dead Space 3, Crysis 3).
I'm curious about Battlefield 4, though.
Same here.

Since Yoshida says 'no'..... then I have no reason to disagree.
PS1 backwards compatibility. Every single PS3 still has that, even though SONY sells alot of PS1games in their PSN store.
And then of course, PS3 had PS2 b/c from 2006 - 2008.
And you're right that GAIKAI isn't b/c. It's is however, a reasonable potential alternative to keep the downloadable games that people purchased without having to rebuy them.
But like XBOX 3's b/c info.... we don't have enough info on GAIKAI.
As consumers, we are being asked to invest and TRUST in online digital content.....effectively, to give them money for nothing physically tangible.....just a promise, basically.
If these companies want this type of ongoing trust from consumers, then they have to maintain their promise. They have to make sure that they hold, keep, and maintain all of the digital wares you buy, and keep them accessible at all times.
If a company breaks this trust, then said online stor...
If the rumors are correct that Microsoft is going with an AMD CPU, then the XBOX 3 will likely have little to no Backwards compatibility, similar to how XBOX 360's backwards compatibility with XBOX 1 was terrible this generation.
The issue with both PS3 and XBOX 360 architectures, is that they both employ PPU (IBM) designs, and PPU isn't well compatible with x86 (Intel and AMD).
We'll have to see what alternatives they may ( or may not ) offer like GAIKAI....
If your PS3's fans are kicking in significantly louder and longer than when you 1st bought it.....it's not a magical reason.......
It's generally because your thermal paste is drying out.

If you're too afraid to open your PS3, I recommend looking for a mom &...
To me it looked like the 'same ol same ol' fps tropes that we've been wallowing in this generation. Yes, it looked great, but I'm expecting more.
For example, when I shoot someone in the leg, that particular leg should show damage, and they should limp.
If I shoot them in the side, they should hold or grab their side.
Get shot in the hand, then that hand is disabled, and the AI has to switch hands, making their accuracy and reloading suffer. ...
Map packs are just another form of microtransactions.......especi ally when some companies are caught taking them out of games and sticking a separate pricetag on them later, or reusing old maps from previous games.
But yeah, even though it's now accepted, as far as the bottom line is concerned for EA and others--the bottom line being to charge you more money after the initial sale--BATTLEFIELD 3 is no different.
Back then, you may have heard some people tepidly say it was 'Enough' ram.
But today, in 2013, for 8GB, You can genuinely and rightfully say, 'Thats ALOT of ram'.
We haven't actually had this dynamic in disk based Consoles before.
Ram is usually one of the first things that's skimped on....but not this time.
It's kinda exciting. :)
did the PS3 not have?
Gran Turismo 6 is probably already half done for the PS3 and made specifically for it.
Not to mention, PS3 will have 80 million+ users, which would go a long way towards making money, and thus, helping to make shareholders happy.
You also have to understand that consoles late in their cycle make the most profit. So a game like GT6 helps keep people buying PS3s. You don't want Sony to just start dropping support for the PS3 do you? Sony's never done...
When you sell, trade, or give you Wii U away, when you get another, your whole account is gone, including everything you've purchased.
That's worse than a mistake.......
That's flippin incompetent.
Microsoft has virtually unlimited money, but Microsoft GAMES does not.
Did you ever wonder why MS had to close ENSEMBLE? Why did they have to shut down ACES? DIGITAL ANVIL? Why FASA?
Did you take notice how, for a while, BIOWARE was practically in bed with Microsoft? Then did you notice that EA came right in and scooped up MS's good buddy BIOWARE without hardly any protest?
The reason, is because MS GAMES has a budget.
And while MS Corp ...
I don't think Microsoft GAMES has the budget to outright buy exclusivity on popular games anymore.
But who knows?
But if you want the most basic, rudimentary, quick & easy to understand answer possible that's still rooted in mathematical accuracy.......then:
PS3 = 400 - 450 gigaflops ( Cell + RSX )
PS4 = 2.2 terraflops ( allegedly & approximately ) total output
So according to the alleged terraflop output, PS4 is approximately 5 times as powerful as a PS3. Or rather, the PS4 can perform approx 5 times the "graphical calculations" as a PS3...
PS3 & PS4 definitive version?
PS1 backwards compatibility.
Possibly PS2 B/C as well.
I Think that They think that because their game(s) are so "great" & popular on PC platforms, that console players are so desperate to play their LATE, and widely reported as being "overrated" game.
I think Blizzard is in for a rude awakening.
What next generation software tech in the form of games exists on the PC platform?
