as far as the business side of things, they're about as adept as a couple of turnips.

It doesn't surprise me that they made a mistake with the launch window of Jade Empire, because they made dumb mistakes all through out....basically.

I mean, you had the PS2 which was the uber dominate platform for the 6th generation, and yet, they made NO games for it. Why? They would have sold double the units of Star Wars: KOTOR, minimum.

Nvidia being locked out from consoles means that they lose alot of leverage.

For example, Nvidia has certain products like PhysX. Well now that AMD has all of the consoles, they can push their own Physics engines and other products to leverage over Nvidia.

It's not doom and gloom for Nvidia, but it's a coup for AMD, and one that could help them gain both marketshare in over avenues, and certainly MINDSHARE.

And yes....for the AAA gam...

You broke out with a 2009 article when it's 2013, and the whole point of this new article's sentiment is Sony's change of dynamic regarding independent game developers and development.

As the old article stated: "implemented in October of last year, asks publishers to pay 16 cents for every gigabyte of bandwidth distributed through the PlayStation Store."

That's old news and new referendums and policies seem to be taking place now. ...

Jealousy that Consoles keep taking PC exclusives.

Even Blizzard, the last AAA budget PC developer is crossing over. And worse than that....they are bringing a better version of their game to consoles (no always on DRM).

That's 1 thing that PC gamers get angry about.

There's also the side issue that, for the price, because consoles are subsidized, Console gamers get better hardware than PC gamers can get.

That doesn&#...

PS3 actually sold approx 8 million units within it's first year. Also, to my knowledge has never moved a mere 30k units in a month's time.

PS3 was never actually doing poor in the marketplace.....it's just easily overheard rhetoric.

Borderlands 2.

That would help the Wii U's situation at least a little bit.

But in his defense,

What you wrote was hard to read/understand.

A little punctuation would help.

At approx $30 gross per each sold unit......That's over $90 million gross (approx) to the publisher.

Not to mention the game is still selling and will continue to sell.

That's profitable bro.

When does the Wii U get some good news for a change?

They'll likely never recoup the losses from that MMO.

I'm very concerned about my PSN download games that I've purchased.

I'm awaiting more word from Sony.

Certainly not Sony as a whole corp, and not even specifically the PS3.

BluRay is what cost Sony the most money regarding the PS3.

And On a corporate level, Sony's trouble is much much deeper than their video game division.
