PS1 is what made gaming travel out of the stratosphere.
There's no tornadoes or hurricanes in California.
We just get earthquakes and occasional rain storms.
But we don't know what sections or mechanics of it that will be free or not.
For example, maybe the downloadable games you've bought this gen (JOURNEY) will be free to stream on the GAIKAI service.
We have to see.
But the main thing is, Sony is at least trying....Microsoft didn't even try. To me, it's a slap in the face, especially when they are still asking you to buy new sh17 in their store now.
But that's how fast I download everything on the internet.
My internet speeds are only 400KB, unfortunately. :(
"If we compare that to the sort of bandwidth consoles are used to, the DDR3 of Xbox One is rated at around 68,000MB/s, and even that wasn't enough for the console and had to be augmented with the ESRAM.
The PS4 memory system allocates around 20,000MB/s for the CPU of its total 176,000MB/s. The cloud can provide one twenty-thousandth of the data to the CPU that the PS4's system memory can. You may have an internet connection that's much better than 8mbps of co...
It holds an 82 on Metacritic.....
That's actually still a good score.
That we might need to find a new name for "teabagging"
:P
Closing Ensemble, Closing Digital Anvil, Shuttering ACES, getting rid of FASA.
We all know RARE is a shadow of it's former self and has been relegated to Kinect and AVATAR making.
Microsoft's best studio, BUNGIE, apparently got fed up with Microsoft's management incompetence and bought their way out, and hopped the first thing smoking.
I don't think it's in any studios best interest for Microsoft to buy them. I think we...
Unfortunately, their competition has pretty much done everything wrong.
If you put that kind of GPU in the consoles, they would catch fire and/or burn out.
If you think about it, For form factor, Consoles share alot in common with Laptops.
That's why this gen of consoles have Laptop type GPU's in them.....basically.
In the PS3's case, AMD put in one of the most powerful Laptop gpu's they could.

But seriously,
I wouldn't be surprised if Microsoft pays or supplements gizmodo in some way.
It's actually how Microsoft does damage control.
But in fairness, alot of companies do this too.
So,
2006 = GEARS OF WAR (360)

I'm gonna give you a genuine answer.
At Sony's PS4 reveal, you got the most important thing you could get....
You got Sony's AGENDA.
They told you that they were focusing on GAMES. Sure they got apps, and Netflix and Hulu, and whatever else. Hell, they've got DIRECT TV tie ins now.
But Sony told you THEY WERE ABOUT THE GAMES.
You most certainly didn't get that from Microsoft.
Thanks for that.
Voice recognition is "software enabled".
I used to have a Samsung phone back in 2000 that would dial the name or "slot number" if I spoke to it.
here it is:

Some people went gaga over speech when it was demo'd for Ghost Recon a couple years ago....but we've had that for the PS2 and even earlier this gen for one ...
Many of us have spent alot of money for these games that we never really got anything tangible for.
For disk based games, we actually got the disk and can trade, sell, or give them away.
For the download games, I don't know if you thought about it like this, but we bought them because we trust Microsoft, or Steam or Sony.
Not moving them over, is kind of a middle finger to this trust.
That's my take.
I'm bookmarking this.
