As was pointed out by an IGN poster, the Gamescom camera guy was awful. Apparently he/she didn't realize this was a VIDEO GAME conference, and thus, we don't really want to see, nor are we interested in his/her cinematography skills.
If you want a better view of the interface, use Sony's youtube vid link:

Personally,
I think the DS4 would have been better and had better use if the touchpad had been built into the back.....like the VITA.
With it on the front, in order to use it, you have to take your hands off of the stick or triggers.
I think more studios will continue to die.
@Gamer666,
But with that said,
The Wii U is the least powerful now, and it's doing horrible.
Is this where I can watch the stream?
Well damn.
lol

Those petitions are kind of funny.
I think the Sony official was speaking from Sony's own point of view and experience on what it learned it had to do to make change.
I'll explain the issue Krosis.
Cloud Rendering, the way some are trying to infer, as in some sort of avenue for GRAPHICS PROCESSING, is a total fairy tale.
Why?
Because Even if you have really fast internet.....
that's only approx 6MB (MegaBYTES) per second.
PS4's CPU/GPU calculates something along the lines of 20,000 MB per second (probably alot more).
So basically 6MB vs 20,000MB
...
Sony didn't REMOVE backwards compatibility from anyone.
If you bought a B/C PS3, it is still backwards compatible.
You need to ditch the WiFi connection, and go wired-hardline.
8 Gigs of ram is definitely alot for a console....a ton, really.
But for the record,
PS4 has more TOTAL games announced than the XBOX 1.
Just sayin.

I enjoyed GTA4.
It's my most played game of this generation.
I Love GTA RACE :)
Regarding the Cloud:
"Well, to the extent that it's possible to do computing in the cloud, Playstation 4 can do computing in the cloud. We do some things....Today matchmaking is done in the cloud and it works very well.
If we think about things that don't work well...Trying to boost the quality of the graphics, that won't work well in the cloud"

That part was the most profound to me.
I still have my 80GB PS3...so if I bought a PS4, I'd be very confident with it.
What about if you have an XBOX 360 without a harddrive.....a baseline model?
I'm asking because I was always told that Microsoft did not allow games on the XBOX 360 that required an Install to play the single player.
Why are Microsoft breaking their certification requirement-policies?
DirectX is not something anyone needs or has to use.
DirectX is an API tool, and its main purpose is to consolidate many different devices, so that, for example, an ATI GPU can effectively be programed the same as an NVIDIA GPU. This is used so that is makes it easier, primarily for PC programers.
One downside of DirectX, is the fact that developers can't ever really get the full potential of said device.
None of Sony's consoles or handhelds ...
Who's Hindle?
To me, even $300 is still too expensive for an underpowered 8th generation console.
It needs another $50 deduction
