not exactly forgiving but i guess most 'serious' pc gamers will have good enough specs anyway, most running dual or quad cores. My graphics card etc are all really good but looks like my cpu is gonna hold me back this time only having a dual core :(
yep parents. It's not just letting a child play a game that is rated to high for them, but it's just the general parenting.
I believe a game can influence someone, but they still have to have that mindset to begin with... playing a voilent game wouldn't turn a 'normal' person voilent imo.
Either way a parent shouldn't buy their child a game that isn't suitable for them...

been really impressed with how quickly they are fixing problems, even really small things.
Most developers woudln't bother or would bring 1 big patch out several months after release that doesn't even fix every problem raised.

I agree with you tbh. Not that it really matters but do you think the sales figures for halo wars would be as high if it wasn't a halo game? because in all honestly i think being halo game would attract alot more people than simply being an rts done right on consoles.
no doubt its a good game (not my cup of tea though) but it wouldn't surprise me if this sells way way more than if it didn't have the halo name. infact without halo in the title i seriously think this would get alot less publicity... can disagree if you want. I'm not saying oo it's a bad game etc etc, but i certainly think the fact that its part of a massive, probably best known franchise to the xbox helps alot
I fail to see the problem. Every major release recently has had problems online so atleast they patched it straight away...
I enjoyed gow2 single player but online was a joke. so you cannot bash a ps3 exclusive for patching a problem as soon as it was discovered but not be annoyed that a big game like gow2 had problem after problem to the point where you couldn't play games and it took them a month+ to fix, and even now there are still problems
They would probably choose the 360 with the hope of new rts fans (from halo wars) would give it a go.
personally i'd just buy it for pc regardless, and thats if this particular rts even interests me (and atm i haven't really looked into it)

With nearly all products customers are entitled to sell them as pre-owned if they no longer have a use for them. Why should it be different for games.
Also some may argue but... if a game is really good then it's less likely to get traded in and so if people will end up buying a new copy anyway, if developers make a poor game chances are you will see alot of pre-orders available for t...
Loving this game so far. only played mp so far but it's what i was hoping for tbh. a great game. I have a feeling some ppl that first pick it up won't like the control scheme but give it a few hours and you'll love it! So nice playing an online game again that doesn't use aim assist! really shows who the good players are.

you can by 'triggers' for the ps3 controllers. they cost about £3 (i'm from uk :p) and simply clip on/off the l2 and r2 buttons. they're alot better but the 360's triggers are obv better because the shape of the controller means your fingers naturally rest of the triggers. I still alays use l1+r1 for shooters on ps3.
yeh it is a really good pad. i've always been a big fan of the playstation controllers but ms came a long way from arguably the terrible original xbox controller - remember how big they were when it was first released!
well i moved to firefox from IE around a year ago and would never go back to IE. I think i'll give safari a go but for only slightly faster (in the grand scheme of things) speeds i'll prob end up sticking with firefox 3 just because it's a good browser and it's waht i'm used to
surely the service offered to the consumer is what matters... why should i care how much revenue a company gets, all i want is a good service... and at the moment i am getting good service with both psn and live and theres various things i'd like improving with both
lbp looks nice for what it is but it's hardly a 'technical achievement' graphics wise at least (cus the physics are pretty damn gd in it)

resistance 2 was a good laugh, as was the first. but if a mate said to me, 'why would you recommend getting a ps3' i wouldn't use resistance as an example of a gd game lol each to their own though
It's just something that you gotta get used to. I personally love it cus i feel the more i put into the game, the more i get out. If i lose a firefight on killzone, chances are the other guy was better than me at that moment in time. But then lose a firfight on COD and it could be for any number of reasons, where alot of the time i'll feel like i didn't get killed because the other guy was better, but some other factor.
Bottom line. If you want a competitive game that your prepar...
