will be interesting to see how this turns out. first 2 were great but it's obvious that this game will be competing the gt5. I'm hoping to see a big gfx improvement to get it up there with gt5 but apart from that the gameplay etc is sweet so i guess just need to add more parts/cars/tracks and should be a must buy - wish ppl didn't treat every sim racing game like a destruction derby online though :p thank god for ghost cars!

L4D never really bothered me for release, mainly because non of my mates were getting it and the only real reason is for the co-op but at the weekend when i saw it on steam for £13.49 i had to get it and so far very pleased. I imagine it could get boring after a while given that theres only the 4 stages, however they are large and each time you get zombies coming from different areas.
Not many games now adays are 'scary' so i don't see the argument there, i mean resi5 is a '...
I'm not saying the ps3 fanboys were right, infact they were as annoying if not more so, than the 360 fanboys bashing kz! but i think the main problem was that review sites all over the net were giving it an average of 9 and then edge scores it 2 marks below that.
It's hard to tell what the average scores for halo wars will look like yet though, with the embargo not lifting 'til just before release, but either way a review is someones opinion and can differ greatly from your own. ...
yep 360 deffinitely leads the ps3 in EU but it's good to see the ps3's not too far behind. Why is it good? well i own both systems, so the more competition there is, then the better the games are for both :D
When the ps3 first game out there we're obvious differences between multi-playform games but since then developers have got much more used to the ps3. The best test is to play a game on your own tv beause as we all know you will get slightly different results depending on your set-up, hence why i no longer pay attention to graphics comparison and simply care if there are problems such as poor frame rates in 1 version, or a really bad bug.

gow2 = great game but it still has alot of flaws/bugs. so it's hardly a good standard. considering for the first few months playing online was awfull (and still is alot of the time), ranks didn't work properly, really bad host adv, tons of glitches - just not a great standard imo
perhaps the single player of gow2 will be better than the single player in kz2 but in all fairness for both games i play the single player once and then its's all about online, and as i've mentioned, gow...

first 1 didn't sound v gd (and got some mixed reviews) but this looks alot more promicing. Do you have to buy the first dlc to play this though i wonder of could you just buy any/or all of the 3 dlc they're bringing out for it
seriously kz could be a multi-player only i'd i'd still be happy. single player will be good for when the servers go down (expecting them 2 crash first weekend :p lol) but i imagine a high proportion of my kz play time will be online.

I don't think anyone underestimates "the power of halo", imo it being part of the halo franchise will have helped alot with sales because otherwise ppl may have passed up 'just a console rts'

It's not a big surprise tbh and i wouldn't say its a case of 'losing an exclusive' - The game was released on he 360 before the ps3 even came out in North America (and ps3 didn't come out in europe untill early the following year)
So obviously the dev's could have worked on getting a ps3 version for the ps3 launch but why bother when they we're releasing it on the 360, a console that at the time had no 'next gen' competition
I'm surprised it's sold this well tbh. I bought 1 when they first came out and i was really impressed with how good the graphics we're on a hand held but the system just lacked support, umd films we're pointless, costing as much, if not more than a dvd but only playable on the psp.
Traded it in when i bought my ps3 so wasn't spending so much money in 1 go. I wanna hear about a new handheld or updated psp though because i'd be very interested in that providing it had decent suppor...

i wouldn't call it 'lag' as such. All that happens is the game does react but the movement start of slower and gets faster which most people find hard because they're used to 'point and click' kinda games such as COD.
I'll give these a go tho cus it is hard to get used to the controls and i never thought about having the x and y at different levels, always just stuck em at the same level around 90%
It's just someone's opinion. Seriously i can't wait to play killzone but all these articles are embaressing. Why does it matter that 1 game site, 1 game site, only gave it a 7 and not a 9 like the rest. Why does it matter.
For me i don't use Edge for game reviews because i don't believe they are very good but it doesn't mean we need article after article either defending Edge or bashing them.

so you're just talking about North America right? It seems alot of these 'ps3 has failed' articles stem from NPD figures and although i understand that there are alot of consoles sold in America it is not the world...
The 360 is only just ahead of the ps3 in Europe and actually worlwide figures show that the 360 is around 7 mill ahead last time i checked. 7 million sounds alot but then remember that although there are more 360's out there there are still 20+ million ps3 owners......
