if this had of came out a while ago i may have picked it up but with sf4 only a day later if i get any i'd obv go fo sf4. I guess the hardcore sf fans will still love this addition to the store though :)
the problem with multi-platform is that developers very rarely develop the game for each individual system but more develop it on 1 and port to the others. It means alot of the time ps3 ends up with poorer quality multi-plats compared to the 360. recently things have been picking up of course and some would argue that a few multi-plats have been better on ps3.
I wouldn't put any of this down to 'what a system is capable of' but more 'how a developer made use of a system'

i'm liking that the only real negatives seem to be with single player :D mainly because i'll probably spend around 10 hours max on single player and who knows how many hours on multi!!
I think there will still be teh big budget games and there will still be plenty of good games on 360 regardless of whether it is 'maxed out' but hardware can only be pushed so far...
i really don't think the 360 is pushed just yet and could be a while until we do see things slowing down. I am certainly interested to see gow3 though because that game will obviously be the comparison to gow2 in terms of upping the gfx and will give us a better idea if gow2 is the best capable gfx ...
i'll put my hands up and say i probably prefer my ps3 games over my 360's but damn this is really lame. The article doesn't really make a point or have any facts to back up claims and also has terrible grammar.
Seems like an attempt to fight back all the negative ps3 articles recently but quite frankly i'd wish fanboys from both sides would just shut the hell up.

i'm glad it's not trying to be like halo tbh. i want it to be it's own game and it's looking like it'll be a great game when it's finally released next week.
I do agree that it won't be as popular as halo for some of the reasons stated: not having a memorable character (although the helghast are as a race), fan base - very true. i loved the first but generally it got a bad reception from gamers and critics. It's amazing how far the sequel has came! and the marketing. i dunno what...
@Jonah - it's because halo wars is top of a rental chart followed by kz, but nearly every other site has kz2 at the number 1 spot for pre orders. renting a game only costs the user a couple of $$ so means they can get a better feel for the game if they're still unsure after a demo (plus may just want achievements)
the wii is way to far ahead imo and when a family or kid wants their 'fun' and 'family friendly' console the wii will always spring to mind even if MS advertised something like this well.
imo they should just concentrate at what they're good at rather than trying to do to many things and just being a mediocre experience accross the board
the contributor could do with adding in the updates tbh as they mention what i would have written here anyway, that the guys at metacritic go through alot of review sites and only use review scores from sites they believe are a credible source and have been going for a while with a good reputation rather than posting up scores from every review on the net...
Would be nice to see a second although the first obviously didn't sell well considering they started giving copies free with every central station disc (in eu anyway dunno about US), guessing because most didn't know and still don't know to this day that you could take a ps2 online!
The first was quite good fun but it was very very basic imo
i think the internet crying lag lead GG to look into the wrong problem. There isn't a delay at all. that's simply the weight of your character.
my only problem with it is the acceleration from slow to fast when moving (which you don't get on the lower sensitivities) - i feel this could have been tweaked slightly but instead they were worried looking into claims of 'lag' when actually there wasn't but people we're getting confused with the way the controls handled...

i think it'll be better here because of the pace of the game compared to cs.
It's good to know that you can play each mode individually if you like or 'warzone' being all modes rolled into 1 that dynamically changes the game mode for a certain map
so if you're just a certain fan of a mode and map you should be able to play that. think i'll spend most of my time playing warzone though. shows who the best over-all team is at a certain map :)

haha had the same thing the other night when i too bought L4D because of the offer. End of the day i take gaming pretty seriously because i like the competitive side, play in a clan etc but thats when i'm playing against other competitive teams. in an 'open' room i wouldn't vote someone because i didn't think they we're as good as me etc etc.
So my experience on L4D. My mate who also plays it wasn't on so i was playing a bit of single player but obv the game is suited to co-op so...
I ended up getting the ps3 version because the prospect of dlc didn't make me wanna get the 360 version when all my mates we're getting it on ps3.
looks like it's some good content. can't say if i would have bought it if i had the gmae on 360 though since i never finished gta4! :o just kinda got bored of it but reckon the dlc story will prob be better than the main game simply because you're actually a criminal in a biker gang rather than a foreigner getting envolved with the wro...
if i get it i'll get it on ps3 for the pad. you can get different controllers that i'm sure improve the experience but i'm not a big fighting fan anyway + if i was playing this with my mates it wouldn't be much fun if i only had 1 of the madcatz controllers and whoever they we'er fighting had to use a 360 pad :p
I dunno why they don't just make all future pads with better d-pads tbh or is it some patent thing. I remember the original xbox controller and how much of a jump it was ...

not sure about you guys in america but in the uk nearly every1 i know from 'gaming communities' will pre-order games online because your guranteed them on release date and alot of the time you get them a day or 2 early - this is due to the release date in the uk being fridays but store/warehouses get games in on the wednesday, then they dispatch first class to ensure you get it by friday but being first class means alot of the time we get the games on thurs.
