X1 disgusts me as a gamer and as a consumer.
microsofts original intention for the X1 says it all and i dont know how ANYONE, even xbox fans could then go on to purchase an X1, even after microsofts u-turn when the public rejected the idea.
do X1 users have no principles? buying into a console after knowing what microsoft had planned is mindless consumerism.
my motion control method is better-
1- pick up motion controller
2- walk to nearest bin
3- throw controller in bin.

ive said it before but i think the kickstarter signals a troubling time for gaming. as was stated in another reply, unless you are one of the massive developing/publishing giants like EA, Ubisoft etc you stand little chance. and even former giants such as konami seem to be drasticlly scaling back their business.
people support these kickstarters because they think they are getting a good deal in the end, but really i think its desperate times when...

this is why nintendo are losing commercially because they are not offering technology which is up to the industry standards. nintendo LIED when they said they would be making a 'next gen' system capable of handling the games modern gamers play. the wiiu is just the wii of this generation.
why would anyone want substandard version of a multiplatform game? i would not buy project cars on wiiu just out of principle. i want to buy a console knowing the games i play on it...

i hope they come with a new design. the wiiu looks so cheap and tacky, it has no design flair at all, it looks like they wanted to make it as cheap as possible.
the n64 looked amazing at the time, like the Ferrari of games consoles with a sleek nd innovative controller to match. the wiiu is completely banal in comparison.
i dont have high hopes for the design of the NX with nintendos current trend of having fists tighter than the tightest thing in the world...
ive been saying this for well over a year now. nintendo can only hope to build a respectable legacy for the wiiu now.

talking from the perspective of a wii and ps3 owner who hasnt joined the 'next gen' or even looked at many x1 or ps4 games in action, i watched a play through of this game today.... i was underwhelmed.
ok, yes, they have packed more detail on the screen, things look more 'natural,' but it doesnt blow me away like i expected. the characters still walk in a computerised/robotic way, as if they are on rails, the animation isnt life-like, the camera judders etc.....
no... look at what is happening- sega are gone, konami look like they are on the way out, nintendo are changing their strategy by adding mobile division... arcades are long gone. looks to me like the industry is changing radically. many studios are literally surviving on fan handouts (ie kickstarter/charity)
maybe within the next few generations console gaming as we know it will be a thing of the past. trends are changing, lifestyle is changing, people havent got the time to...
i think the games industry is in serious trouble.
i mean, how many games are being funded by gamers? all these kickstarters, gamers must be the dumbest consumers ever. first of all they convince us to buy additional content through download that once was included as standard as part of a finished product, now they are begging us for money to make the game from scratch. then buy the game once its completed. really people, wake up, you are being had.
