maybe if they focused more on making video games and less on childrens toys, we would have zelda wiiu this year?
this is merely another thing in the catalogue of things nintendo are getting wrong
nintendo are failing because they have given up aiming for the top. they have given up competing with microsoft and sony. instead they created their own lane- the retro/oldskool/obsolete tech lane with games aimed at grandmothers, soccer moms and children.
if its modern and makes sense, nintendo arent doing it. if its what nintendo fans want, nintendo do the opposite.
this is why nintendo is losing.
lets face it, only children and losers would buy amiibo.

i want the entire game on the disc. i dont want to pay for little bits here and there, i dont care how big or small the content is.
if you have an idea, PUT IT IN THE FREAKING GAME. if not, put it in the sequel. or give it for free.

ironically, NX is bad news.
they announced it a year early. E3 this year should have been focused on the final big push for the wiiu. they should have made a playable demo for zelda wiiu, and they should have announced a few more major titles, such as metroid for wiiu.
NX is bad news because it sends a message to anyone who hasnt purchased a wiiu yet (a lot of people,) that its not worth buying a wiiu, and to hold out for the NX.

its obvious the game will end up as a launch title for the NX. i mean, nintendo are having trouble making enough games for the wiiu, and have said they will reveal the NX at E3, so they must be making games for the new console.

i dont think shield and steam box have mass consumer appeal.
hd consoles dont need gimmicks. they are serious pieces of hardware which offer the consumer what they want. they feature useful multimedia features which incorporate all aspects of modern technology and trends. so these consoles appeal to a wide variety of people.

ANY device nintendo brings out, mobile or console, is doomed to failure because nintendo have no third party support. it has declined with each generation. the wiiu is so bad i havent even bothered purchasing one- a decision made by millions of others as reflected by the poor sales figures.
why will it change next gen? it isnt. unless nintendo get lucky and create a popular niche for themselves in the market, i think next gen could be the very last gen for nintendo.

its an age old question. we have seen gaming change so much over the last 10-15 years. consoles used to be distinctively different to PC, but with each generation the gap has closed due to incorporation of pc-like feature...

amiibo are literally good for nothing. sure they make the company money, but im also sure given the choice between a Marth amiibo and zelda wiiu, most people would prefer nintendo make zelda wiiu a priority.
