the difference is, those games you listed for x1 are substantial games
i mean, arkham knight and yoshi cant compare. witcher and splatoon cant compare. tomb raider and starfox cant compare.
xenoblade is the only major game they have this year, in my opinion. fatal frame is a good asset. nintendo fail miserably year in year out because they dont have the third party support.
nntendo need to get with the program and actually attend the event with a stage presentation.
doing a glorified nintendo direct on e3 day isnt good enough. we all know all the devs are put under stress to get stuff ready for e3 and it disrupts their schedules, but the stage presentation makes for a great show.
what nintendo did last year was just lazy. cheating. perhaps lack of organisation and preparation disguised as something new and interesting for e3.

wii had a massive user base but the majority of those wiis were in elderly peoples nursing homes and womens closets. ie not the type of users who would buy xenoblade.
it would be good if they allowed you the freedom to burn ONE digital copy YOU purchased to disc (playable on your chosen console), therefore you have that security in your INVESTMENT of that product.
i mean, i can burn my itunes library to discs, so why not my games?
not really, they might be investing in more studios but they are using obsolete technology and dont do any marketing.

i dont think nintendo has known what they are doing since the gamecube. they just release gimmicks and hope they catch on. they have been reduced to a novelty producing company.

yeh, nintendo expect consumers to have telepathic abilities and just 'know' when big games are coming. other publishers put adverts on the sides of busses and in cinemas etc.
nintendo are so tight fisted with their marketing budget.
the game does deserve a lot of exposure but ultimately you are right- its not a game that will sell systems, not with the traditional nintendo target audience anyway.
the E3 one clearly looks better, better sense of depth, more detail, characters look better, richer colour, more cinematic, better lighting and animation...

the story of the wiiu
back when it first came out it was an exciting prospect because it had all the potential to be a great console, but nintendo drip fed the games, third party support was unconvincing and so it all lost momentum.
it just wasnt selling, and so people started to place their bets on the big games such as mario kart 8 and smash bros turning things around. those games arrived with critical acclaim, but the wiiu was still flat-lining.

i was going to buy a wiiu this year for Xenoblade x. knowing zelda was not far behind would have made it justifiable. but they pushed back zelda and announced their new console. so now im wondering if its even worthwhile to buy a wiiu for one game, knowing a new console is just around the corner.

i can honestly say im not excited.it feels like the end for the wiiu. nothing can top xenoblade x or zelda wiiu so what could possibly be exciting? metroid is a possiblity, but knowing nintendo they have probably had retro making a 'cooking with samus: metroid recipes' game for the last 4 years.
