i wonder what nintendo will do with the NX?
will it have a wiiu style controller?
how will they use incorporate backwards compatibility for wiiu games if the NX doesnt have a tablet style controller?
maybe the NX will be compatible with Wiiu controllers, but you will have to use your existing wiiu controllers or buy them separately ?
see, this is why the withholding of backwards compatibility for consoles is bs, its all just to exploit the gamer. they want you to rebuy the games via download, or hd 'remasters'... they want to keep selling their ip's which is hindered by backwards compatibility.
gamers should DEMAND that the games they invested in from past generations be compatible when they upgrade to new hardware.

since iwatas passing i have started to think maybe nintendos recent strategy (the last ten years) of releasing old technology might have been a deliberate move by a company owner fully aware of his poor health issues.

the NX needs to be a console for gamers that also has the benefit of being the home of nintendo games.
if it is a console for nintendo fans, with its only selling point being that it is home of nintendo games- it will fail.
nintendo needs more than nintendo to survive in the industry. nintendo needs to realise it needs third party support to give their consoles an appeal to a much wider audience.

no more heroes is another example of an average game with inflated status... only because 3rd party exclusives on nintendo consoles are rare.

i think in the last 5 years we have seen what nintendo would be like without iwata. something didnt seem right with nintendo and now it seems clear why- the person at the wheel was nearing a tragic end.

nintendo need a radical change in its approach for the NX to be respected among gamers. but since their e3 show focused on party games, mini game collections and amiibo, i dont think that will happen.
