nintendo once used to support these genres themselves with titles such as 1080 (snowboarding) and wave race. these were serious sports games.
but instead of continuing and building on titles like this, nintendo destroyed it all and instead decided to make mini games collections like wii sports, and continue putting mario in sports titles like soccer, tennis, golf- anything.
nintendo are capable of making serious games which could compete with the 3rd partie...
nintendo are control freaks.
you know what i think would be amazing, a majoras mask style remake of skyward sword. so set it in the skyward sword universe, but a dark alternate version, just how majoras mask was a dark mirror to ocarina of time.
now that would be interesting.
i think most people wanted a hd update of majoras mask. that would have been amazing. but nintendo chose to do it in 3d for the 3ds. yeh, the game is great, but i think it would have benefited more from a true next gen update
really? i have no idea what sony are doing with their apps, neither do i care. same applies to microsoft.
this is about nintendo. i remember when the wiiu was announced/revealed, they pitched tvii as one of THE major features of the wiiu, making it some sort of media hub, to seamlessly integrate into your entertainment set up...
so for them to axe plans to bring the service to europe is a massive fail, and only illustrates how poorly thought out the whole th...
just what the wiiu needs, less support and less features.
princess peach
it doesnt help that the games are total shit. i mean, that last sonic on wiiu was an embarrassment. and while sonic lost world showed great potential, it turned out to be mediocre at best.
sega only have themselves to blame.
the zelda live action series is a very bad idea, its going to degrade the series.
a manga/anime series would be a different story though
lol i would agree with you on almost every point you made but xenoblade... you obviously havent played it.
put it this way, im the most ruthless and harshest critic but xenoblade is classic. not just 'oh, its a good game on wii,' but, up there with the very best of all time.
if xenoblade is is anything like its predecessor, its going to be gobsmacking.
im disappointed with the music too. there was no need to bring in a new producer, ACE produced the best soundtrack i have ever heard in a game for xenoblade... if it aint broke, why fix it?
the wiiu (and maybe even nintendo) are finished because nintendo dont know how to please consumers anymore.
every product they put out nowadays is worthy of a facepalm. this latest news is just another facepalm moment.
the move benefits nobody but nintendo... well, in the long run its going to ruin them.
you dont have to be Einstein to realise that in order to sell a console, it first needs to have great software. nintendo overlooked this. ...
those are the most annoying voices i have ever heard.
i didnt watch the whole vid i just skipped through to get an idea, dont want to spoil it.
i pray they release a hardware bundle in Europe for this game. if not, then i hope it gets the collectors edition treatment at least.
probably because all the processing power is being used to draw beautiful, detail-filled landscapes as far as the eye can see. if they used hundereds of polygons to make a nice face, the environment would look like shxt from a PS1 game.
of course, one could argue they could have come up with some sort of system where more detailed models for faces were used in cutscenes, but i guess this is what happens when you are making an epic game and are tied to time constraints- you ha...

title claims to have release date info, price and gameplay features.
then in the first sentence you discount the title by stating its all rumours.
shit. you have mislead me and robbed me of my valuable time *mark as spam*
xenoblade is the best game i played in years
im curious about the music for X because the original had some of the best game music i have ever heard in a game. and it had to be strong music because you would be hearing the same song for hours on end while you grind through levels.
apparently X uses a new composer, so im a bit apprehensive about the direction the music will take. i hope they have stuck to a similar style, because the music was such a defining...
you hit the nail on the head with your one bubble. i will bubble you up. the problem is software. even if the wiiu was £70, people are not going to buy it unless they know there are games they will like to play on it. and yes, people would run out to buy it at that price, but only to resell it on ebay at a marked up price.
wiiu has practically no third party support now, so the question to potential buyers is-do you like mario? do you like zelda? that's a big problem...
its the slowest selling because its the worst
gamers must be the biggest suckers, cant believe its come to the point where not only do we have to pay extortionate prices for software, but the devs are begging us for donations to make the damn game.
i think it can only be a signal that the industry is dying, at least for anyone but the huge studios
