Just knowing all of this makes me miss the old Bungie when they were still making Halo. Their prime focus was community. Map packs were reasonably priced and they gave out maps for free. The current Bungie is nothing but a shell of what they used to be. It's sad really.
Really hoping they blend the action and story really well like they did with Uncharted 2. That game is one of the few that is as close as you can get to a perfect game. While Uncharted 3 was amazing, I feel like the emphasis was on set-pieces more so than the story. I have nothing but high hopes for this game!
When Microsoft purchased Bungie many moons ago they literally gave whatever assets they needed and let them do their magic. I smelt trouble once I read that Bungie aligned with Activision back in 2010 not long after Reach launched..
More like Halo:MCC is the best-case scenario for Halo 5 since it will bring Halo vets back to the game. I'm a long time Halo veteran and I do not understand comparisons between Halo and Destiny. To me they're so different. Same demographic just two completely different games.
I feel like this game is just hit or miss with some people. It's very split between those who love it or hate it. Personally I like the game but it's best played with friends. I hope the promise of expanding the world becomes a reality rather than sounding good on paper. I'd give Destiny an 8/10 for what it offers at the moment.
You obviously weren't around during Halo 3's peak. I remember there being a decent amount of kids with god mode and or aimbots. It was really frustrating.

Hey I bought a PS3 not too long after The Last of Us was revealed just for that game. As I waited for it to come out I found many gems like Uncharted, Heavy Rain, Resistance, Flower, MGS4, LBP, Heavenly Sword, and God of War. One game can sell a console and it allows people to find other games as well. TLOU is the reason I'm part of the "Playstation Nation" now. I love being on both sides of the war :)

Is it bad that this whole collection brings a tear to my eye? I practically grew up with Halo and to have Halo CE and Halo 2's multiplayer on Xbox Live again makes me so damn happy. The bonus no one is talking about is how Halo CE is on Live for the first time since the only other way to play it against other people was on PC. Cannot wait until November 11. :D

I can see Guerrilla making a sci-fi oriented open world RPG akin to Mass Effect 1's playstyle. One can hope. Can't wait until E3!
I have a good amount of faith they can bring back competitive arena-style Halo because they have Halo pros helping to construct the multiplayer portion. Halo 4 was good but it wasn't a "good Halo game". Then people can say the same about Bungie being "shackled" to Sony for the exclusive content and other goodies because essentially the Xbox players built up Bungie to where they are now. Insomniac being independent should allow them to do whatever they want to with any publisher.
Skyrim came out on a Friday too so this doesn't seem to far fetched. All I need is a PS4 and I can re-play this game in glorious 1080p and hopefully 60fps :)
Titanfall was never planned for any console as a matter of fact. It was originally a PC exclusive until Microsoft jumped in.
Kind of like how Halo started as a TPS but then changed to a FPS later in the development cycle.
Mass Effect also was Microsoft's IP until they sold Bioware and their assets to EA. Not a similar situation at all.
You have so many exclusives on the PS4 you can't keep up? Which games are you playing? I'm stuck here playing TLOU and Metro and recently got very burnt out on Destiny. Right now both consoles are almost bone dry with exclusives. "PS4 sales" does not equal quality either. I had my eyes on Driveclub and that ended up being a pretty but mediocre game across the board. I'm just glad I have both PS4 and X1 so I get to play the best both have to offer.
