Gears of War 3 definitely had more fluid gameplay but i think as far as atmosphere and story Gears 2 takes the cake.
Yeah there was no way I could only finish TLOU once. I beat it 4 times on PS3, twice on PS4 and currently on my Grounded playthrough. Honestly TLOU has a ton of replay-ability which isn't really common for its genre. I know I'm going to have to play it at least once a year because that's how good it is.
Titanfall gets such an undeserved amount of flak from people who never played it. Weeks prior to the Halo MCC launch I literally played Titanfall everyday and I never once stopped enjoying it. Plus getting new game modes and such through free updates is a treat. I honestly love Titanfall and really breathed new life into the aging CoD formula. Can't wait for the inevitable sequel.
"Safe to say"? Jeez, would have had heart failure over console sales phew
I definitely agree
Unchartered: A Thief's Endered
Who expected more from Ubisoft? They're worse than EA is right now.
What Phil has been doing is very reminiscent of the early OG Xbox days and that's why I'm already loving this direction way more than the majority of the 360 era. The focus on games hasn't been this strong in years for the Xbox brand and just overall fun is very prominent. Can't wait to see what 2015 and beyond has in store for Xbox!
I played Sonic Generations and I thoroughly enjoyed it but I view at as more of a throwback then a brand new experience. It's like most new Sonic games are hit or miss with many and for me it just isn't really an evolution to the Sonic I grew up with.
Ubisoft of yesteryear > Modern Ubisoft. I'll never forget the first time I played the original Splinter Cell on Xbox. Miss those days so much.
@radler You realize the game has been out for only 2 weeks with a 7M+ install base? It's also a remaster and not a huge release like say Halo 5. Halo 5 will surely push close to the numbers you're spewing.
Quantum Break is Third-Person Action similar to TLOU and Homefront: The Revolution surprisingly is open world.
Seeing this just makes me miss the Sonic Adventure days so much. SA1 and SA2 were 3D Sonic games done right. If the day ever comes where Sega makes another console and they release Sonic Adventure 3 I'd be all over that in a heartbeat. Sonic has been dead since Sonic Heroes in my opinion. It's quite sad since Sonic was a staple of my childhood.
@kparks Nah Halo isn't Killzone
Halo has always had such a rich lore from the get go but only in expanded media. One of the main reasons I prefer 343 over Bungie is because they weren't afraid to take the risk of delving so much deeper into the universe. Halo 5 has the potential to have the best narrative drive experience out of all of the games because of this. Coming from a huge Halo fan since day one, I haven't been this hyped up for a Halo game since Halo 3.
People who still undermine the Xbox One to the extent that they do obviously haven't used one for a long period of time. The console constantly gets better and the games in my opinion are stellar. I was one of the many who lost faith in Xbox after the reveal but man did I eat those words once I delved a ton of time into Titanfall, Halo, Forza Horizon 2, and Sunset Overdrive. Can't wait to see how X1 evolves like how the 360 did over its lifespan. Great times ahead!
I have both an Xbox One and PS4 and I can say both are fantastic. I would pick-up a Wii U but my wallet is literally drained from all the new games. Can't go wrong if you own just one or two or even all three.
I can also confirm it's working. Got into a Halo 2 game in less than a minute.
Strong feeling once the holidays are over they will keep the standalone system at $350.
Damned if they do, damned if they don't.
