That's okay, I love the so called "dude-bro" games like Halo and Gears because they are two of the best arena shooters on the market backed by amazing communities.
I think Nightfire was the closest to dethrone Goldeneye
Half Life 3 confirmed
I really hope MS does something similar with Xbox because these sort of events are really cool. Love what Sony is showing off at PSX right now. That Uncharted 4 gameplay left my jaw on the floor.
Well deserved. Congrats Bioware!
False. Just straight up false.
I remember when my dad and I played Gears of War 2 co-op campaign years ago he was blown away by those graphics. Can't wait to see his reaction if he sees me playing Uncharted 4 or even the new Gears of War xD
@WickedLester I guess I was stupid when I bought a PS3 just for The Last of Us.
It's ridiculous how Unity and Rogue came out less than a month ago and already we're moving on to a new Assassins Creed. I miss when waiting for a new installment of a revered franchise took 2-3+ years and didn't have to worry about launch problems or any of that. The current trends in the industry scare me about gaming going forward.
A revival of Blinx would be awesome. Had a lot of fun when I was younger playing that
Well pros like Snip3down, Tsquared, Bravo, and Ghostayame all said that it feels great and plays at times even more competitively than Halo 3 so I don't think the old timers (myself included) will knock it. It takes the best elements from past Halo's and combines them into Halo 5. I'm very confident that this will be the next Halo that in 5 years people will say, "Remember the Halo 5 days?"
All I know is that I haven't been this excited for Halo since before Halo 3 came out. I'm really loving that 343 has shown what Halo should look and play like in 2015. It shows evolution to the existing formula but stays true to the roots. In my opinion this is the direction it should take and that 343 is doing a stellar job.
Completely agree. Would kill for the old arena shooters to make a comeback to the mainstream market. Too many games piggyback you and pretty much make you good right off the bat. Halo, Unreal Tournament 2004, Quake 3, Timesplitters, Counter-Strike were the balls back in the day.
Yeah I'm pretty sure whenever i bought a console it was because it suited me more and the games are more for me, not this TeraFLOP crap. PS4 will have great games, Xbox One will have great games, and Wii U will have great games. If you're all tech savvy and care so much about specs then that's why the PC community exists. No one complained when the OG Xbox was more powerful than the PS2. It was the games that pushed every console to success, although the Wii was pushed by a gimmi...
The events aren't even associated with one another. PSX is also a celebration for 20 years of Playstation so I view PSX as more important in general.
It was only a matter of time until we got another AAA troll. Welcome to N4G.
Really hope Doom 4 is a modern day take on the first Doom. Doom 3 was great and all but it lacked what made Doom 1 amazing. If they can recapture the feeling of the first one but with the assets of today I will be all over this game.
@pumpactionpimp I'm willing to bet Titanfall wouldn't be nearly as hated if it were on PS4. Does Titanfall lack the longevity of games like Halo, CoD, Gears, and Battlefield? Most definitely but at its core it's one hell of a fun FPS. I haven't touched a CoD since probably 2011 and I can say first-hand that Titanfall really changed the game and got me to enjoy that type of gameplay again.
Ladies and gents, *THE* Forza Killer.
Microsoft having the $50 price difference is a huge selling point. I love my Xbox One and do prefer it over my PS4 but I won't deny the fact that if they keep it at $400 that it will be a shot in the foot. They have already gathered in a ton of people due to the new price and it'd be in their best interest to keep the price below the PS4 in order to stay competitive. As long as MS can keep the great games coming, keeping the price competitive, and continue with the constant updates I ...
