100% impossible? That's not true at all. Hardware emulation is impossible if you don't have the chip, sure, but the 80gb consoles didn't have the chip, but used software emulation. People at sony have said that selling ps2 emulation for the later squ's is actually possible, but they wanted people to buy ps3 games instead of ps2 games.
They said Japan doesn't care about rpgs without the words fantasy, dragon, or age in it. I used to be a huge rpg fan, but I have no idea what that means. Anyone know what age rpgs are?
This is a horrible article. He picks out four of the best games of the generation and calls them overhyped. Then, he calls out crummy ps3 ports, pointing to Fallout 3, which is practically the same as the other versions except that there were some small problems earlier on that have SINCE BEEN PATCHED OUT.
Hmm.. Gears, Resistance, GTA... I think its pretty clear what kind of games this guy likes. What makes me wonder... Why Wii fit and Mario Kart over Smash, banjo and LBP? that's just silly.
@ Sl1M Well obviously in the general scheme of things, my personal problems are insignificant, but considering that I saw this article, said to myself "Hey, that's exactly what happened to me" is what I'm pointing at. 11 months, almost a year like the article said, my blu-ray player just stopped dead. I've had disc reader problems before, and usually its a gradual wear and tear, but with this, my game froze without warning and when I turned it back on, no blu-ray.
Actually, this may have more truth to it than fiction. I had my blu-ray player just stop working, personally. Everything else works, just no reading dvds or blu-rays, after about 11 months of play.
However, Sony's warranty on the ps3 is awesome. They sent me a pre-paid addressed box, I put the ps3 in, shipped it out, they shipped it back to me within two weeks, good as new, with the harddrive completely untouched. I paid nothing, they even provided the tape.
You'd be suprised. Unlocking Lu Bu just takes wayyyy too long though. But yeah, who the heck posted this? This is been pretty much common knowledge among DW fans for a while.
I keep mentioning it everwhere, but this game is not broken, so far I've actually encountered FEWER GLITCHES than in Oblivion, and the graphics are still pretty sweet. Stop letting fanboys write articles because of one little GOAT glitch (which the game AUTOSAVES IMMEDIATELY BEFORE).
Has anyone actually played the game? I think its beautiful, and haven't run into any problems (other than the G.O.A.T, but that isn't a problem because THE GAME AUTOSAVES IMMEDIATELY BEFORE IT). This isn't orange box here, I swear it.
It really doesn't matter if there is a good reason why we aren't seeing any ps3 rpgs, because, we aren't seeing any. Seriously, the big announcement is an exclusive fps from tecmo, a company that has no fps experience? Seriously, whatever Sony's obsession with shooter games is, it needs to stop.
Aww man, don't be like that. They're responsible for great games like Evergrace, Enchanted Arms and Eternal Ring? Remember those gems? Okayyyyy maybe I was the only one who liked them. But King's Field is quality, I swear!
I thought this was from today, but apparently it was from 5 o clock last night, so I get the striking feeling that the contest is over. For anyone who wanted to know the answers, I'm fairly sure they're...
Suikoden 6 was supposedly announced a few years ago on Magic Box, but then it all went quiet. 108 characters, 1080p hi-def, traditional six-person turn based battles, you know, a massive rpg that wouldn't fit on a dvd. Considering how many rpg series and developers have been going to the 360, S6 would be pretty huge.

What happened to Afrika?

Awesome game. Definitely pick it up if you have a psp. I'm a little disappointed though that this "remake" basically just added anime scenes.
Even this article is flame bait "present research" by comparing metacritic scores? Come on now, that's just silly.
Yep. I'm one of them. But then again, the list didn't include any games from the last, what, fifteen years?
hey now, don't nitpick, besides Tales, Square publishes all of those games in atleast one territory.

Sony/ Metroid Larva/ Rogue Trip.
