Don't you guys remember John Romero trying to market Daikatana by claiming that he would "make you his bitch" and "suck it down" in magazine ads? Even when back when it was peer to peer over dial-up the online gaming culture was extremely immature. The only difference now is that you hear the abuse instead of reading it.
Seems to me that it has pretty wide variety of how its games can look.

Justifying a library is much easier when you already have a ton of games for a console, most of your friends own that console, and you aren't particularly impressed by exclusives being exclusive most of the time. I have a PS3 but so what? Most of the games I want to play are on 360 anyway. I like the 360 so I might as well buy them for the 360.
I don't particularly CARE about exclusives all that much. Quite a few of them have been pretty boring, niche, or just decent....

None of those devices stream PC games entirely over a 5Mbps connection. You clearly have no ideas what Onlive is or what it does.
What the hell are you babbling about ? Onlive is already being built into Visio TV's as standard, it ALREADY works fine on any PC with a fast connection through an app, and they practically give away their micro-console and a controller with just about any game where you preorder a full play pass.

Fans of Duke are mostly going to be turned off by the first boring hour and a half of crappy gameplay (whee! turrets and RC cars and wandering around in lame linear confined areas with minimal shooting!), the two weapons at a time, lame unskippable plot bits, regenerating health as well as the slapped together design of the thing.
This mess really shames Duke. It is a much worse product than 3D was. Games are supposed to get BETTER over 14 years.
It's for those people who enjoy playing the Doom 3 board game and all those Dungeon-crawler board games that come with lots of plastic figures and scenery pieces that you can build a maze out of. A lot of these board games are kind of similar to Games Workshop's old 'Space Hulk' Game or 'TSR's Dungeon', much like Legions of Steel or Mutant Chronicles was in the 90's.
