"BioWare had a huge undertaking before them: they had to try to satisfy every Mass Effect fan by giving every Shepard a conclusive ending. I repeat myself: they had to give every Shepard an ending."
And they took the laziest possible way out and it sucked.
A bad ending is not an indicator of artistic integrity but of artistic bankruptcy and generally being clueless and inept. Disappointing inferior work is simply not worth defending from revision especially when it is created for use in a commercial product.
" Lazygamer.net's Garth Holden" is yet another irrelevant little nobody with a blog site that nobody reads seeking hits. Ignore him.
Is this actually supposed yo be funny or cute? Seems like a dumb tone-deaf "opposite day" joke to me. Is satirically putting words in bioware's mouth for such a cheap obvious yuck really worth it?
Yet Another clueless accusation from another upset nobody begging for hits.
Here's the thing dude. Game developers are generally NOT tier one "artists" their works are NOT sacred, and someone who pays $60 is entitled to an opinion no matter how much that makes you whine and gibber. No one owes you any deference and no one cares if you like us or not or why. You are a worthless parasitic little media cipher. Your influence is next to zero.
You ...

Gabe on Penny arcade tried to defend this ending. it was silly. He said that:
1.) the synthetic reapers weren't actually killing all life, just those that were dangerous enough to create synthetic life and they were storing the DNA of the destroyed races as new reapers.
++ Yeah but everyone in space or near everyone getting chopped up and stored in reapers is not much of a future. It's pretty much called being eaten. ++

I marked the site as no, and article as WTF without even going to look at it, because this article is obviously stupid hit farming fake controversy crap. Try offering something like real content instead of this sad worthless drek please.
Who cares if some garbage basement dweller's blog site is ashamed of gamers because they want hits and a high degree on N4G? Why waste my time with this crud? Who cares what you are ashamed of and why would they?

Snooty overly-judgmental people looking for something to offend them so they can strike a self-righteous pose are a rather large part of the problem too. Gaming and gamers behavior happen without your permission or approval and will probably continue to whether you grok that or not. And the dumb crass snarky meme patrol is getting a bit too free with the crap too. Everyone finds a way to suck in their own magical way, you and me included. Try being kind and tolerant and encouraging.

Or just have tribes-like outfitting stations where you can change out your perk package in team games without needing to be in between spawns.
The worst ending I can think of off hand for a game is Pariah. I watched it and then had to go look up what supposedly happened online. The ending was so incoherent and incompetent that that I had no idea what they were trying to tell me happened and I needed someone to explain it all to me.
And what if they don't calm down Daniel Starkey? Will you lose respect for them? And why should they care? Who the hell are you to be giving paying customers instructions regarding their reaction to a purchase? Get off your pedestal before you fall off of it.
I started playing video games in 1977. So what? What does that have to do with the market for video games today? Endings matter to a lot of people who are being asked to fork over $60. Deal with it.
No the Chryslter Hemi engine is WAY better than the Unreal engine!
Is it a full MMORPG like City of Heroes, World of Warcraft, or Everquest, or is it an instanced team-coop and PVP thing like Guildwars was witha common lobby for social interactions ? If it's the latter is could be a pretty awesome game. If it's just a bunch of Ayleid's, khajits, serpent people, Nedes, and Argonians and such all dancing around together by an auction house in a bad looking town with a statue of a sload in the middle of it then I'm really not too interested.
Yeah I'd be willing pay up to 400 MS points ($5) to take Jessica Chobot out of the game. Of course I never bought the game anyway so it doesn't affect me directly.
Yeah the idea presented is that Forge would be a subset of a true map editor (like the one in Farcry 2) so no user functionality associated with should be lost. It would mean more options and capability not less.
" Operation Darkness is fine. Get over it. "
yeah, whatever idiot.
I didn't buy the DLC or the game.
Microsoft would get beat to pulp if they did it. it would be one of the great debacles of business history. It would be a New Coke scale problem.
