It's not about wanting this to fail because it's Sony.
The fact is, Yu could have gone through Kickstarter himself, then gone into an early access program, without any platform exclusivity and shadyness.
They could continuously add more content as people go and play it. The people who backed on Kickstarter could have been granted a copy of the early access version for $20. When it hits early access on Steam, XB1 and PS4, it could be $30.
@Foxtrot
It's amazing how everything is worthless if isn't native. Yet for some "unknown reason", the idea of temporal reprojection for Morpheus faking an additional 60 frames per second is somehow smart and worthwhile.
Morpheus is DESIGNED for 120hz refresh. That is NATIVE for Morpheus. Yet, everyone is apparently fine with 60hz reprojected to 120hz.
But upscaling with software and even hardware scalers themselves, makes 90...
@Loktai
I agree, if this game was coming solely to Japan, then no way would an XB1 release make sense, unless there is a RIDICULOUS boost to sales (which I don't see happening over there).
.....the thing is though, it's not Japan exclusive. So it doesn't matter what region of the world it was designed in. That's a moot point.
Also, in 2018, there will be 10's of millions of XB1's across the world. And porting between P...
In late 2017 or even 2018? Unlikely, and not to mention it's using UE4, which doesn't scale well to the previous gen.
It's funny how neither Shenmue 1 or Shenmue 2 have ever been on a Playstation before, and yet people are acting like it's dumb for it to go elsewhere.
Also, if the game is being designed for 2017-18 on PC, then it'd obviously be running Windows 10 and DX12, so a port to the XB1 in a couple years will take almost no effort, ...
Last generation, Call of Duty sold somewhat similar amounts of games on both consoles. It's not like it was 15M for the 360 and 3M for PS4, or some ridiculous ratio. The numbers were alot closer than people try to make it out to be.
The fact that Sony had almost zero marketing for CoD and still sold 10M+ is a testament to the franchise, not so much the marketing deal. The biggest takeaway from the deal is probably tournaments. But even then, it's a small fraction of t...
The devs said that it's 70% bosses, 30% platforming, but the platforming segments aren't fully ready for demoing at a major event like E3.
A few bad impressions from journalists who play unoptimized code and have bad experiences can halt this game in its tracks. Which to me, would be such a travesty for a game that is otherwise beloved by most.
I expect this game to be at Gamescom again and if it launches in the March-April window, then it's defin...
@lodos
XB1 right now is at about 12-13M consoles last time it was tallied.
By the time the remake gets here sometime in or around late 2017-2018, the XB1 would have 10's of millions of sales.
Also, since the game is just starting development, they'd be designing the PC version with DX12. And since DX12 can port between PC and XB1 within days, the port cost would be inconsequential to the budget.
.....but keep trying, ...
I don't really see that happening, to be honest. I don't think either platform is going to have a "new" 6-7M exclusive seller.
The closest one I think we would have had, is Titanfall. If MS secured that as an exclusive, then yeah, it'd probably be somewhere between 5-7M copies per game in the future, which is close to Gears, Halos, Uncharted type of numbers.
If you look at Sunset, it sold about 750k. Same goes for 1886. DriveClub sold pr...
Either this is the greatest, most professional looking fake images ever "leaked".
Or Sony has lost their minds and didn't add a thumbstick to the Move controller.
Either way, this new Move 2 controller still doesn't allow players to move around in Morpheus. The biggest issue with the nunchuck (Navigation Controller) is that it doesn't have a light on top for the PS Camera to track.
The thumbstick is fine on the current n...
That's like saying, because Xbox is the tournament standard for Street Fighter, it would be OBVIOUS that the sequel is coming to the Xbox platform....yet here we are.
Both are moneyhats. Both are terrible deals. Both are coming to PC. Both create fanboyish nonsense on forums.
I think $400 is OK, "IF" the camera, two moves controllers and the nunchuck are included.
That would mean that the camera itself is roughly $250, which I think is pretty good for it's specs.
So the camera ($60) and each controller ($30) is roughly another $150.
I think $400 for the complete package is good. Bundle in a game and it's not THAT BAD of a price.
If Oculus or Vive ship the entire package for $500...
I absolutely agree, except it would be 2k16 for next year's season. Either way, the integration between Windows 10 platforms could be pretty cool.
1. Cross-Play on XB1 and PC.
2. A Football Manager style mode for XB1, PC and Tablets.
3. Fantasy Football with other gamers automatically integrated into your XBL profile on every device including phones.
There's a lot that could be done with a REAL License. But if it'...

I don't get it, why all the disagrees?
AC? After the debacle of Unity, why would Syndicate be a top priority for the show?
RB6 Seige?
What else is there? Literally, they have like 3 games and nothing else to show at the conference. Far Cry 5 teaser? Watch Dogs 2 teaser?
A couple new indie games would be cool, unless Child of Light starts getting annualized and the appeal of it fades.
Maybe a new Splinter ...
I actually agree with you.
I think Project Iridies is bandwidth reduction for emulation streaming through Azure.
I've said this before and I'll say it again. The "cross-buy, content anywhere" approach from MS means, classic games can be emulated and sold for a few dollars on the same store.
Imagine buying original Xbox and 360 games for like $5-$8 and streaming it to the XB1, PC and Tablets. No sub fee, no hourly rate stuff,...
It doesn't matter if it needed more time....that's not the question being asked.
IF...IF Uncharted 4 was on schedule for this Holiday, when does the remaster come? Seriously, nobody wants to answer this question. It's all just a miracle that an Uncharted Collection is taking the SAME SPACE as the delayed game. Funny how that worked.
Really? You're going to tell me they were shipping the Remaster AND the sequel later this year, together?
The writing itself is average.
But the performances....that's different.
The problem is, for ND to achieve those performances, they needed to pre-render the cutscenes and give the animators more power than what was available on the PS3 to achieve the believability in the characters faces and body language.
Not to mention, if they didn't pre-render the cinematics, then there would have been quite a bit of loading between areas/missions...
That's incorrect.
The fact your hands are symmetrical means nothing, since you aren't holding the thumbsticks identically, nor are you using them identically.
The left thumbstick being up top, allows your thumb to extend on the Y Axis (vertical). Which is exactly what you use it for. We as gamers, in almost every game nowadays, move our character forward. That would be pressing up on the left thumbstick. We aren't wildly swinging our left thumbsti...
It's always funny seeing people talk about RTT, but never bring up how MMO's receive data, update state and game logic, apply data and then return said packet.
Why, if a Cloud Compute approach is held back by RTT, would any MMO be playable if it requires a similar approach for data?
@MasterCornholio
WTF are you talking about? Can you even read?
I said, COULD HAVE GONE THROUGH KICKSTARTER *AND* EARLY ACCESS ON STEAM/XB1/PS4.........
Reading is apparently not a strong point for you. Please. Try. Again.
My god, you idiots on forums refuse to read anything more than 140 characters. Stick to Twitter sweetie, because apparently discussions that require logic and paragraphs don't seem to work for you.
