On Xbox you can also set your console region (don’t have to change your account region) to New Zealand and start playing a lot earlier (depending on your own timezone).
I’ve only tried this on Xbox One, but I assume it works on Series consoles too.
Rough for those living down in Brazil.
PS4 Pro was quite a big boost over PS4, especially if you had a 4K TV. Not everyone did upgrade but those wanting higher resolutions or framerates did.
But we will definitely get pro versions of both next gen consoles. Why wouldn’t they?
You could say that for any hardware. There will always be a higher spec version in the future. Are Sony going to turn around and release a pro this year? Obviously not.
So if you feel the need to play any of the games already out now or coming out in the next 1-2 years, buy now/soon. Otherwise you can wait for a slim/pro or a price reduction.
Waiting may not be optional anyway given how short in supply the next gen consoles are.
Literally zero chance of that happening.
Epic games is at about 30bn in valuation, so about 1/4 of Sony’s (assuming they sold at market value, which they wouldn’t). And their Epic investments have been small compared to other companies with about 1%.
Heck I don’t think even Microsoft would spend 30bn+ on a gaming acquisition.
It’s more likely that Tencent buys them - they already own 40% of Epic.
They want XCloud on IOS natively through an app, not through the web browser. Apple blocked this a while back because they consider an app where you can browse a catalog of content to be a 'marketplace'. Steam had issues with them for the same kinda thing.
So Microsoft is hoping that Apple has to allow third party marketplaces or IAP at the minimum.
Basically, from a 10000ft view:
- Epic are suing apple for taking 30% cuts and disallowing 3rd party stores, IAP that bypass Apple, etc.
- Apple are trying to say taking 30% cuts is 'normal' because Xbox/PS do it.
- Xbox jumped into bed with Epic on the lawsuit because they got screwed by Apple with XCloud on iOS being blocked.
- Console manufacturers have to defend the 30% cut since lots of their revenue and profit comes from there (and m...
Press X to doubt lol
@aqua Were you in the store? Website says out of stock.
Both are showing out of stock on the website here.

@Aqua I spend my time between WA and OR. The store in question was in WA.
Here’s the pic I shared last time someone asked: https://i.postimg.cc/nhmhQ1...
Granted, this was a week ago now and I haven’t checked since. May check again tomorrow just out of curiosity.
I have never seen an X or S in store, only online, and then it’s gone in seconds - maybe I’m just u...
Xbox has never had a strong base in Japan so that’s not surprising, but also not representative of the rest of the world.
I have been trying, they sell out in minutes if not seconds when they come in stock. and I’ve just checked MS, Bestbuy, Walmart, Target and Amazon and no stock for X or S.
Had more luck with PS5 - local target even had over 20 on the shelves a week or so ago.
Import taxes from JP are probably too high to make that a ...
@Aquafiniac "Yeah but the thing about Xbox is they combine s/x together"
Sony does the same with their two SKU's too, so what?
But that's not how manufacturing works anyway, we are going through a materials shortage right now across the entire industry, everyone is struggling. If you have materials for 100 boxes, just because you have 2 SKU's doesn't mean you suddenly get 200 boxes... you get 50 of each (or whichever % breakdown ...
Agreed. But I've increased my gaming spending in the last year due to everything else being locked down, so I'm looking forward to getting back out and doing other activities for a while, so I'll be spending a bit less on gaming when that happens.
And as he said, it'll still be a great game. Giving devs extra time is a good thing. More publishers should be delaying games for the sake of quality.
To quote a legend:
“A delayed game is eventually good, a bad game is bad forever.”

Makes sense, we haven't had much else to do but stay at home for the past year - which for most, means more gaming.
Once vaccination rates are up and things start re-opening, people are going to go consume other forms of entertainment.
Agreed, and seeing this level of visuals run at 60 with raytracing on is very impressive & looks great.
By solvable at the OS level I meant by having the OS sync the saves to/from the cloud automatically in the background, like Steam & Xbox do. But that would then become a premium only feature for those subbed to PS+, so they'd sort of have to make them free for the feature to be really transparent & simple to use.
Could they still force non-subbed users to use USB? Sure, but the experience would suck and would be a step back from the import/export in-game process...
So Sony should take legal action against a Playstation website because it posted an article questioning their plans in one area? Right...
RE Engine never fails to disappoint. This game really looks great on all platforms, old and new.
@Magog
1. If he was really concerned about losing his career, he wouldn’t have made the video at all. Most devs I’ve worked with avoid social media etc at all costs to avoid such risk.
2. Huge cuts happen to every game, it’s a normal part of a multi-year dev cycle. I don’t think I’ve ever been on a project where there haven’t been substantial cuts, mostly entire game modes or chapters of the story. The designers don’t just write the original story and des...
