@Sully Switch didn't really add it to the game though. It's using the NSO functionality that allows you to play split screen games online by sending input (works for Mario Kart too), still renders split screen though so it's not a 'traditional' online game like we're used to - you might call it 'emulated online multiplayer'.
And while I haven't played Goldeneye on it yet, it was pretty awful on Mario Kart. There's only so much you can...
Haha, I know right!
And yeah I could be totally wrong on the base controller, I just hope they've been beat up enough over re-shipping the XB1 controller that they might refresh it.
But agree that Elite 3 will definitely come.
😂😂 Tell me about it, tough crowd!
Yeah, I guess they'd have to modify the game to support that though.
I guess ultimately, what we have is two different approaches.
The Xbox one is 'recreated' with 4K support, high res textures, 16:9 and more modern controls, but no online MP.
The Switch one is the original emulated, so has the same graphics and input etc, but supports online play for the split screen via that weird networked input stuff they did for Mario K...
"your best bet is for sony to release a set of xbox drivers for the edge controller"
That will literally never happen. Third party developers cannot create input drivers for Xbox lol.
Your best bet for a new Xbox controller is clearly from Xbox.
They'll launch an Elite 3 at some point this gen, and probably a refreshed base controller too.
"Visually stunning" 😂🤣 Don't - it's not April 1st yet!
Where do we even start... what about the below:

To date, they haven't sold through that 2m though. So supply is outstripping demand.
"Why would you not be able to order their new product directly from them in advance of launch? They did the same thing with PS5 lol"
They didn't really though. I got a PS5 from Direct @ launch, it was a race to get through the checkout and they had very few units. It was regularly sold out on PS Direct. PSVR2 has no queue or invites, and is readily avail...
This game has been falling apart over the last few months, lots of downtime and fatal bugs like this one. Losing progress is never good, especially when it's a service backed game, even less reason for such situations to occur.
The god-awful original controls are enough reason for me to avoid the Switch version of this. Remember movement and aiming on one stick? Yeah.... no.
I loved Goldeneye N64. Very much hyped to play this. Between this and DS remake, this weekend is going to be a busy one.
I'm still amazed they managed to pull this off. The game was already in licensing hell between MS and Nintendo, and then you add Amazon into the mix.
Awesome news - very much looking forward to playing this.
Hopefully we still get a HoL 2 - had a blast with it and it’s the funniest game I’ve ever played.
But, actions have consequences.
Hopefully he's correct and it's not just playing it up for near-launch hype. Very much looking forward to this. It'll be interesting to see the reviews on Thursday.
"they have a limited supply at launch"
This just isn't true though... demand is not outstripping supply - you can order it direct from Sony right now without any effort.
You can only scalp things if it's sold out / in demand. Otherwise, why would you not just buy from Sony directly?
No one is going to scalp this, it isn't even selling out. If you want one, just go on PSDirect, the standalone as well as the Horizon bundles are in stock 24/7.
Agreed, it could still actually sell well. I mean, everyone on here is more so in the 'hardcore gamer' bucket. A good amount of people won't even have read all the discussion online etc, perhaps not even seen the demo and will see TV ads and/or 'Square' on the box in store and buy it.
@MrLogic That is only for games that implement SteamInput. A lot of PC games use DirectInput/XInput, especially if they are releasing on other stores - SteamInput doesn't work outside of Steam.
Forza looks insane, unmatched visuals for sure. And on-track raytracing at 4k60. This is next-gen racing.
Hi-Fi Rush was a huge surprise, and from Tango none the less, would not have expected that. Looks great and the 'available today' drop was a nice surprise.
MC Legends actually looks pretty interesting, but not sure if I'll be able to get into it. But it's MC, so I'm sure it'll be a huge hit.
Overall though, t...
