We need actual numbers to know if that means anything though. 238% of 1000 is only 2380.
We already know the vast majority of the market is digital, so it's a 238% increase in what is already a tiny portion of the market, for a game that didn't sell well at launch and is now older too.
It feels weird seeing reviews for Goldeneye 007 again 😂
I completed my initial run the day it came out, now going for the 00 agent run. I highly recommend it - I had a blast, nostalgia overdose.
The VRS stuff is weird, also quite a few severe fps drops on PS5. When Sony inevitably launches a midgen refresh, it should include HW VRS.
On the game itself though, DS remake is immense. The visuals and feel are on point and while it feels dirty to say, EA did a great job on the remake, so kudos to them - continue it with DS2 please.
238% of what though?
This is only boxed games - Digital vastly outweighs physical in the UK, plus Dead Space had a good amount of digital bonuses.
Probably not a fair comparison - and I agree, DSR is great.
@Behind I agree, the idea that games being on PC devalues them on console is absurd, but it's been a common opinion for years now.
PD was irrelevant up until they announced a new title, yes. Can you point me towards the announcement trailer for a new KZ or Infamous?
KZ and Infamous haven’t had entries in ~10 years. Irrelevant. They aren’t available on PS5 either.
Okay so two franchises - GT and Ratchet. Great.
And those two franchises will likely end up on PC too.
@Thunder “Then they can't be called exclusives”
So by that logic, the only exclusive PS has left is Gran Turismo?
That doesn’t explain the reviews. Reviewers look at the game all up, and in relation to other games released. They don’t factor in which platform it’s on.
@darkrider Sorry, what? PC has had no games since CP2077 back in 2020?
Surely you can’t be that misinformed.
But let’s assume you are. The last big major title on PC was… *checks* about 48 hours ago - Dead Space remake.
@darkrider Apparently that all means nothing though.
Let’s not forget, this is a game “designed for the PS5”: https://pbs.twimg.com/media...
“The real advantage of making an exclusive game is one platform.”
That hasn’t been true in a long time - PS4 Pro and Xbox One X both happened. Plus, let’s not pretend that almost every Sony exc...
Yeah, there will definitely be shovelware worse than this.
I guess what they actually meant was more like “biggest flop of the year” since this was hyped, from a well known developer and was expected to be better - no one is expecting those shovelware games to be good.
@porkChop Lol, I’d forgotten about Ride to Hell. My god.
The game doesn’t look gimped at all. Looks out of this world.
Fortunately for Square, TGA doesn’t have an award for that :p
This isn’t anything new - they already did this for flight sim. It’s their answer to letting last gen people still play next-gen ‘only’ experiences.
“ It would be a shame if it didn’t considering how old GT will be at forza release time. ”
GT7 isn’t even a year old at this point… you’re talking as if it came out 5 years ago.
“ We're going to find out soon enough what gathers the most attention.”
We already know the answer - about 4% of gamers like to experience the former (VR).
“Normal” racing is way more popular than VR racing.
The most surprising part of all is how good it is - currently sitting at 91 on OpenCritic too.
Not for Horizon it isn’t. It’s almost like you can’t paint every game with the same brush…
That sounds like a one off anomaly month, or incorrect. We know that in western countries with decent internet, digital is always bigger than physical.
Even back in 2018, it was already 80% digital in the UK: https://www.gamesindustry.b...
