Considering sales, used hardware (if you trust it), the over all cost of games per year (I get all AAA new releases for ~$30 AT LAUNCH on PC)...no...PC can actually be cheaper.

Depends on your definition of "better deal".
If ALL you care about is third party games then, sure, for an extra Benjamin it might be worth it for the graphics...but outside that I don't see how the X1X is worth it over the Pro.
Thing is that you don't need a high-end PC to have a X1X level experience and I think that's where people have an issue with comments like this.
How does the X1X compare to a "high-end" PC when we KNOW it doesn't have high-end parts (GPU is obviously decent but the CPU sucks) and that mid-range PC's can do what it does.
No, the X1X is powerful but it compares to a mid-range PC. Fullstop. All the consoles and refreshes this genera...

While the X1X is an impressive console, as far as consoles go, PC is WAY better. The X in no way compares to a high-end PC. If people consider a Intel i3 and GTX 1070 level PC as high-end then I don't know what to say other than "you don't know what a high-end PC is". I wouldn't even consider my 6700K and GTX 1080 PC to be high-end at this point.
What you say has been true of most consoles at launch. Most are higher-end.
And can you explain what the Pro doesn't do that the X does? I mean, sure the X is faster but you act like speed = a better console full stop.

I don't get the disagree's you're getting. If they say "high-end" then it needs to be high-end. If they mean the Xbox One X compares more to a higher end mid tier PC that would be correct.
ESPECIALLY considering the CPU...the GPU is ~GTX 1070 level or so (again, not high-end but damn good) but the CPU is on the level of a super low clocked Intel i5...if that.
All of the PC gamers hype up our systems around here, didn't you know that? This is a problem I've noticed...if you are a PC gamer and have a above average PC you are automatically bragging about it and shoving it in console gamers faces that you're better than them. That's basically most of N4G's mentality.

You know what I'm really sick of and why I don't just don't seem to care for the Xbox One X? It isn't the console, I'd actually be interested if it had PS4 exclusives since everything else it has is basically on or coming to PC, but it's Microsoft and the way they ADVERTISE.
It's not the console or Xbox brand I dislike...I just don't like how all this generation MS just continues to harp and hype on and on about these features and stuff they ...

I love how the PS4 Pro got BASHED HARD for claiming to game in 4K while using checkerboard rendering by the Xbox DefenseX Group but now that THEIR NEWER AND MORE EXPENSIVE console does the samething they need to list all the games that only support NATIVE 4K...

Most people buy a console based on it's exclusives. Now that the power angle is gone you think MS can now focus on making actual good games for your Xbox or are they just going to start working on a faster Xbox/Xbox 360 emulator box?

Nah, I think for most they just find it hilarious to see the Microsoft Goal Post™ change one more time. Another dumb comment...no...Sony fans aren't the same because they've HAD the best console for several years now, the BEST exclusives for several years now, and better tech (PSVR, Vita, etc).

Realistically you aren't. Games aren't even guaranteed to be 4K or 60fps so it's basically just a Pro but for Microsoft's side. That's why I don't get all the hype about it...it's faster sure but we already know what that entails. It's not magic...it won't do things that you haven't already seen. Calm down, people.

That has been the itching problem I've felt about all this isn't it? It's not that the X1X is the most powerful console...it's that Xbox fans have been acting like they've HAD the most powerful console for a year and a half when it's not even out yet.
