I think he means in just sells and overall market presence.
The Vive and Oculus are definitely better VR headsets.
@Bhai
No, dude, just stop. While the PS4 has some great VR experiences the PC has WAYYY more and WAYYY better ones.
You want to mention GT Sport? DriveClub? With PC they have every major racing and flying game in VR right now. Nearly every type of simulation game does VR on PC. That's not to mention P...
Well it's good to know that Sony's last gen PS4 Pro isn't THAT much weaker than a next-gen system.
Exactly. People obviously just don't understand this.
And yeah, most games that do run at 1080p and 60fps could probably be scaled down for the Switch. Problem is that most games are 1080p and only 30fps...meaning that they'd have to make more compromises.
Sounds like the first time the author has seen one of these...
What a marvel this was on the PS2 back in the day. Anyone that's played this when it came out had to have been blown away. The draw distance and vastness and scale were like nothing I had ever experienced in a game before.
I found the trailer moving as hell. I even shed a tear or two. One because it was impactful and two because I know it'll be a great game. All theirs have been so far...every single one of them. This will be no exception. I don't even own a PS4...
Are "different" and "barely existent" the same thing?
Maybe try a different one? I seem to recall the Switch having controller connection issues at launch...bad Bluetooth or some such. Was suppose to be fixed?
Why not have and be happy with both? I'd rather have both.
"You guys make it sound like the switch version is as good as the PS4 and Xbone."
I think this is the root of the issue.
I mean, realistically, like you say, ANY game can basically run on any system if it's cut back enough. Even current-gen games could run on last-gen systems if we stuck to the sub-720p/sub-30fps, lower texture resolution, less effects, less enemies/NPC's, etc we saw on the PS3 and 360. The same thing we're seeing w...
Sure it does. LA Noire and Payday 2 are last-gen games...so I hope the Switch could run them.
Rocket League runs on anything.
The other games are just due to not being that demanding to begin with. Steep is all snow and more basic geometry, Wolfenstein is the same way.
With WWE2K18 do we know the specs the game is running at? Are the crowd sizes the same as the X1/PS4?
I mean, it's not like it's IMPOSSIBLE for...
No, you're right, it's not luck...it's design.
The game, again, was designed to be easy to run. The game's resolution and framerate being cut in half is what makes it run on the Switch.
That was the point.
Apparently Digital Freakin' Foundry don't know anything according to the downvoters.
SO HOT RIGHT NOW!
"Arguments like “Switch is too weak to run AAA third party games” don't fly anymore."
Actually, they do. According to everything I'm reading the Switch version is running 720p and 30fps...nearly half the frame rate and resolution of the PS4 version.
The Switch is too weak to run AAA third party games...it's just in luck that DOOM was already well optimized and DESIGNED to not be hard to run (hence the 1080/60 on PS4).
Looks like I will be buying that PS4 Pro after all.
Ahhh I'm such a screw up!!!
Yes, that's EXACTLY what it means.
The X1X is as much of a "true 4k" console as the PS4 Pro is.
You people and your "true 4k" claims are S-T-U-P-I-D.
This is another one of those games that I've noticed "professional" and "user" reviews differ greatly.
Nearly EVERY "pro" review I've seen has rated it a 85 or higher. MOST people that I've talked to personally about the game though didn't really think it was that good.
Even for me thinking that the The New Order was an EASY 9 out of 10 I'd be hard pressed, even on a good day, to give this game any higher...
