No, it is a fact. Crowd source funding usually explodes at the start, has a long lull in the middle, and if the project is underachieving, a bunch of people pledge at the end and a project meets it's goal. (EDIT): These are cases in which the project meets it's goal.
But Precursor is not using Kickstarter. It's a similar program. If they do not meet their goal, but they raise enough money to work on the game, they keep it.
While a sequel to Ete...
Which is why I have not preordered yet. I want to get a next gen console, and I don't want to preorder the 360 version, find out the ps4/nextbox version is super awesome, and get stuck with the outdated version.
Hopefully, preorders for next gen will open up after e3.
I don't think it's Battlefront. They just got the license from Disney, so, whatever they might be working on Star Wars related would be way to early to show.
But, tickle me interested.
@Neonridr: They're not using Kickstarter. It's a similar program. The only reason the company is "indie" is because of how Dyack mismanaged SK. Eternal Darkness was awesome and I've read Twin Snakes was a great port of Metal Gear. Two good games. However, you need to read up on how he would go batdoodoo crazy on people critizing Too Human and how he siphoned money Activision gave to fund X-Men: Destiny to instead secretly make a demo for Eternal Darkness 2 and shop it...
But that 0.00001%...What a fact!
Except for the fact that this is a Dennis Dyack game. The trailer looks awesome, but he has a lot to prove after running Silicon Knights into the ground.
Edit: Also, this is a game looking for crowd sourced funding.
I don't want Nintendo to fail. The trailer for Shadows of the Eternals looks great, but Dennis Dyack has a long way to go to earn my trust back after drilling Silicon Knights into the ground.
L4 and R4?
But were would all the...is there a bag inside? How would the controller get rid of....Oh, ewww...
You forgot "used Activision money meant for X-Men: Destiny to secretly fund and shop around Eternal Darkness 2."

12 - 16 million ps4s shipped in 2013? Wow. Those sound like pretty lofty numbers to try and hit.
From the article:
"Oh, I get it. You want to trade in your 360 so you can afford a next Xbox. What are you gonna get for it? $100? What's the mini gonna cost you? $100? This is like the dumbest thing I ever heard."
Words of wisdom.
Well, it has been reported that sales wise, first party games for Sony and Microsoft accounted for only 6% of total sales. Nintendo first party games accounted for 32%.
Nintendo will always have a strong first party stable and people who will buy these games. But, since the Wii U will not be doing Wii numbers, Nintendo has to get third parties on board if it wants to expand it's user base.
Totally, not true and offensive. I don't like to get blind folded.
Business wise, Sony shot themselves in the foot by saying PSN would always be free and then seeing how much money Microsoft continually makes off of subscriptions.
While I don't think Sony will charge to play online, they'll come up with something for the ps4 that will make people want to upgrade from free to paid.
More like, "Your apples are rotten and stinky."
I like how people write articles saying Game A will stomp Game B when we haven't even seen the the most important aspect of both games: the multiplayer.
Hmmm...14 comments and not one, "Pachter is an idiot" comment.
On topic, for something like blocking used games to work, all the console makers would have to get together in cohesion and agree to it.
If this comes out, I will disappear into an abyss for an undetermined amount of days.
That could be true. But it could also be that publishers are antsy about giving them money after the SK debacle. Here's the link you should read.

Also, why wouldn't a publisher take a chance on a sequel to a game that sold well and had critical and fan acclaim? Doesn't make sense.
