@ Sokol
Agree, but the sad thing is, there is no ''we''
For every person dropping the game there are 10 others drooling over the next DLC (often people that are new into gaming, and are clueless to any of this).
I think this stuff will continue to happen, there's always some greedy publisher trying to chip off a little extra cash lol
I wouldn't worry too much about it though, just make your own descisions and ...
Someone cracked the code :D
Same here. I actually believed the location of the beta (Old Russia, Earth) was like a tutorial area, perhaps 5% of the entire game, not 25%.
To be honest, I'm feeling bad for anyone buying these DLCs in an instant. In my eyes Destiny plays on a dirty kind of addiction, the game itself is as empty as they come, yet people are willing to spend 4-5 hour runs mowing through the same enemies, same locations, and same tedious bulletsponge bosses? For over almost a year? ...
Well, some people like to create all the things you just mentioned themselves. A motive, objectives etc. Its called sandbox.
Though the feel to explore and discover should be a big motivation in NMS. For Dreams that would be to imagine, create (and share) much like creating a real art piece
These games obviously aren't for everyone. They are new concepts and there will be many who simply aren't interested. On the other hand there will be many w...
Hmm here I always thought Street Fighter was a fighting game, not a model casting game..
@thekhurg
I agree the article is abit exaggerated perhaps. Though where they lift the game up based on just one trailer, you're downplaying it based on the same information. Which is kind of the opposite, but not entirely fair either no?
The F4 presentation did show some really cool (new) things, from the character creation sculpting to custom house/base building. Todd mentioned more features will be shown down the road, so I think people have every r...
This seems to have a mix of both, judging by the trailer.
I personally like the big empty wastes in F3, actually missed them a little in New Vegas.. but now there seems to be more variety.
You still have the brown-greenish gloomy wasteland, but also pale blue skies with yellow sands, and ofcourse the inhabited areas with much more color and atmosphere
I agree.. its absolutely crammed. And the scope of most games isnt exactly small either, lots of big open world titles. Not to mention games like Starwars Battlefront and Rainbow 6
I honestly doubt I will be able to play all of them this year :(
Oh, nice!
Cool stuff. I wonder if, as seen in the trailer, wearing a full helmet actually impairs your vision a little. As compensation for the increased protection. Could be a nice detail maybe
Hope to see it next year or so
Well its quite a big game. If you can literally terraform a planet and all that information is being stored for every planet (so next time you visit it will still be in the same state) It kind of makes sense to simplify it
Hm for me personally games like Fallout and TES are one of a kind.
Sure they are built on a lot of classic RPG mechanics like many other games (which i believe the article is referring to) but what sets them apart is the ability to create entirely new characters, with their own motivations and personalities.
If you're crafty you can set up your own story inside the game. For example in Skyrim I had this guy owning an alchemy shop, who spent most of his time gath...
I don't know, I personally like his down to earth character.
He's been through a lot of crap in his travels and his only interests seem to be Yennefer and (finding) Ciri.
I'm not suprised he isn't all jolly about doing the 105th favor for some random guy in his pursuit of Ciri
Aside he's got an interest in his profession ofcourse, but it's still considered work, for income and what not. Geralt seems a bit like Joel from TLoU in my eye...
I wouldn't want to lose my hours in any other way:)
You beat me to it..
Pointless article really. Other than perhaps the author making a big fuss over race and gender, and then continues to tell himself its all good? iduno?
Someone elaborate
I think they just want people to have Fallout 4 in the back of their head coming E3, now for certain. Otherwise it'll be among the many games fighting for the spotlight next week.
Now they already secured attention for their game, and the upcoming gameplay trailer on E3.
No idea if that makes any sense, but I could see that being a reason. Doubt the internet ''forced'' anything, if we had that power we would have Half Life 3 by now
The initial gameplay looked cool.. old school, straight forward dungeon crawler. Made me think of 1st person Diablo
Hope they don't change up too much and lose that vibe
Yeah, she isn't the first
They can't get any grip on any of their statements (which is why they never attempt going into an argument or discussion with it) so they just sling dumb shit around the internet that gets debunked the next day.
All they probably care about is exposure and attention, I refuse to believe anyone in their right mind thinks these points are valid when writing them down.
[edit] Them attacking The Witcher 3 only enforces this, the game got a ton of media at...
I think it's funny, the only people seeing these ''gender inequality'' things are the writers of such articles
The rest, both men and women are having a blast with the game.
If anything, it has to do with the narrative, and gameplay design choises by the dev. Im pretty sure there are more than a handful of helpless male characters that need saving as well.
Why? because Batman.
