Kind of sucks it's releasing at the same time as MGSV though.
Im slightly leaning towards MGS being a more well-rounded game.. but honestly, I think i'll just get both and see whatever catches my interest first:D

Nah, personally I think i'll be spending a big portion of those 100+hours on building houses/settlements and creating crazy looking firearms. Or just role playing as different characters, dress up like a robot, I don't know
Unlike DA:I, Fallout leaves more open for imagination I think
The Witcher 3's main story doesnt take 75 hours though.. you can complete it in 20-25 hours depending on how fast you level up.
Fallout 3 could be completed in iduno.. less than 10?
Then again, almost no one plays these games solely for their main storyline. Perhaps open world games aren't your thing?
Im guessing all those goodies are going to cost a fortune though, but it's good to see things developing so rapidly.
I'll probably stick with my current setup for a good few years more
As for consoles, they will always have their place in gaming. There are still millions playing on last gen consoles, including myself occasionally.

I think all those ''lose'' items scattered around add another layer of tools and freedom to toy around with (i.e cheese wheel avalanche in Skyrim) or simply for role-playing purposes, like decorating your home with skulls, weaponry and the like.
So far they are the only developer that do this, and one of the reasons I've been playing Fallout and TES longer than most other RPGs, is because they focus so heavily on the sandboxing element.
I could definitely recommend Dead Space, they still hold up really well. Especially DS2
Likewise, I'm sure Kojima would want people to try out his game, something he worked on for quite a bit.
The fact that Konami cashes in on it doesn't bother me too much, they'll drop out the industry sooner or later anyway at this rate

Slightly off topic here but, as a publisher I think its a real shitty thing to do.. sacking the original developer team (who came up with and created Dead Island) And walk away with their ideas, what they were passionate about just because you bought or own the I.P

Focus of resources, F4 and The Witcher 3 are different games aside of being open world, one is a sandbox RPG, the other a story driven RPG.
They seemed to focus a lot on implementing new mechanics and game features in F4, the extensive crafting, home building, character creation (i.e sandboxing)
The Witcher 3 is a lot more limited when it comes to such features, because CDPR focused their resources and manpower on creating an amazing story, visuals and solid...
Well, from what I've seen the atmosphere and lighting seemed very well done. The more diverse color palette helps with that too.
In all honesty graphics are way down at the list of what I'm excited for in F4. With all the new features they have shown

BB was tough as nails sometimes, and now that I recently picked up the first Dark Souls (DS2 was my first FromSoft game) it seems quite a bit easier.
Then again i'm not even 25% through, so it might get harder later on
