I'm doubting their issues are nearly as bad as FFXV. Tabata is not that bad of a director, but he was stuck with a really crappy engine. Crystal Tools/Luminous Engine was so bad we didn't even get MAGIC MENUS in Final Fantasy XV. Even Kingdom Hearts has magic menus.

Did you see KH3? It has easily the most advanced ARPG system in history by far, considering another developer to compare it to is nuts. But FFVIIR takes that even further- controlling multiple characters, endless materia and skills, etc. The game is HUGE.
