Nah. All Vita messed up on is memory cards. Switch is hardly even a portable and only beats out Vita for playing at your house. *Snore*
It's a failure.
Doubt it. PS5 and then PS5-Pro will cover the 4K space. After that, we'll mostly be looking at diminishing returns. PS6 will be near-perfect, and graphical updates will far more easily depend on studio talent than hardware upgrades. By time we get to PS7, we'll be at near 100% diminishing returns. There will never be a step between when Sony decides to upgrade every year for miniscule returns. It just doesn't make sense. We'll also have no gens if that happens, which ma...
Lmao... A $199 home console would have still been over twice as powerful as this hybrid crap for less money. They f-d up big time.
Glad it's been hacked. The sooner we get these games running at higher resolution, forced AA, etc, the sooner they're worth playing.
I'll be honest, if I like the games, I'll buy them. But no way am I spending $299 for a graphical paperweight. I'd rather spend 3x the money on a PC upgrade to actually play this stuff on an emulator. Yes, graphics do make a difference. It's 2017 and they're stuck in 2007.
It's going the way of Wii U, easy. It's going to cost a fortune to play a select few underpowered games, and the thing doesn't even function well. They should have went with a real console. I wouldn't even mind if they kept motion controls for certain games. Just make the nun-chucks optional and let people play on the big screen. But this thing just offers gimmicks at every corner. I doubt it'll outsell X1 or X2 tbh, and they don't even have exclusives.

I think you bring up the biggest part in why this is such BS. "What is this game even about."
There's no problem with a character that has Autism if it contributes to the stories, shows flaws and/or advantages, and deepens relationships between characters.
But for this... where there is no story. Seriously? That's ridiculous. Infact, the characters shouldn't have any sort of label on them and should be up to the player to imagine...
Not even if they make a better version that has less chance of scratching the screen? I'd say 3rd party may actually be a savior.
I agree plastic is better, but shouldn't they have designed the dock with some kind of padding so the screen wouldn't scratch?
2019 sounds about right. I don't know about 10 TFLOPS though, unless they increase the price(which I wouldn't mind) to $499.
I don't think it'll be 2020 though. Not only will they be countering Scorpio but PS5 will be backwards compatible and some many PS4 games will get 4K60 updates. With that kind of preinstall-base it would make sense to capitalize as early as possible. And I think that's 2019.
Lack of Mini-HDMI just shows how petty they are. They want every last penny for the dock if you want to play in multiple rooms. But without that said feature it's not even portable for parties or bringing to a friend's house. It's really ridiculous, they want to force you to play on a 6 inch screen with friends? Seriously? PETTY as hell.
Screw that. Why would you want to spoil the game's biggest plottwist for newcomers?
But had it used x86 and was on par with XB1 and PS4, it would have been a simple port and definitely on Nintendo? Too bad Nintendo didn't choose that route. Yay, Logic.
Sure some titles will be native 4k, but if they really want to pack a punch wouldn't it be better for Halo 6 to be 1800p with checkerboard for the best graphics possible?
And yeah, I can totally see me buying a Scorpio if they can get a few games out that really make use of Scorpio, but as it stands all they have is Halo 6 and Crackdown 3 which isn't enough to get me to buy one.
Now if they could have done Scalebound and cleaned up MC's douche...
I can play PSP games at 1080p on my freggin phone, unoptimized to hell for 4-6 hours. They look better than 3DS as well. They could have easily done something like a PSVita in performance with 5-7 hours battery life.
And then they should have done a separate home console around the power of an XB1 at $250. I would have bought both.
I'm not buying this non-portable hybrid crap that fails as a regular handheld and fails as a home console.
Figures a fanboy would claim 6 hours when it's obviously referring to indie-level puzzle games. Enjoy your 2.5 hour battery life.
The game went above and beyond meaningless when it came to sidequests. Seriously 10 minute car rides? Endless running, banter, driving? That nonsense was just filler to hide the fact there was hardly any meaningful gameplay. I beat the game in no time.
They missed out on so much potential. Luna should have atleast gotten a chapter, although the Stella lore would have really fleshed her out without taking away from the game at all. Ravus and Aranea were like side chara...
What is this cancer? FFXV had relatable characters, that was the least of it's issues.
It's like two Wii U's taped together. Half as powerful as X1.
It's trash.
Totally agree. There's nothing wrong with having awesome female characters, FF has been doing it for ages. I see no problem playing as one either, and no it's absolutely not "catering to the minority" unless you're saying you're triggered by having good female leads Meka, regardless if you've enjoyed Metroid that's a huge contradiction in the same comment you made. Well played.
