I'd rather not play on PC, less current AAA exclusives, can't sit at couch to play unless you want to get beasted by those using mouse/keyboard while you use a controller, streamlined interface, and did I mention I'd much rather sit at a couch? Not to mention it costs more, does need maintenance because Windows 10 is shit, and games aren't nearly as optimized. We don't even have checkerboard 4K on PC yet do we? Well they came out with another underpowered console so they haven't listened to their core fans for over a decade.
Sony is not in a pickle. They're obviously waiting for 2019 when the 7nm node switch allows them 8-11 TFLOPS for $399. I don't see how that's a hard choice. I also don't see how 60 million sold with more AAA exclusives is a pickle.
MS is on the way to becoming irrelevant because of the corner they've backed themselves into.
