It's not a cutscene, it's an in-engine story sequence. There's no actual combat or anything, and you don't have control over movement 100% of the time if any at all. Anyways, I don't know why people are getting so excited. Hellblade was basically a $30 walking sim, you mostly walk around listening to Senua's inner monologue and the actual gameplay is pretty basic. Nothing wrong with that, I just don't understand why people are getting so defensive about it and putt...
OMG that someone actually disagreed with me and 13 people agreed with @Jin_Sakai is really concerning haha. You can't have out of engine gameplay
Gotta play this
*but was gonna watch if I had to
It looks fine, there's just no reason to expect they're going to make drastic changes to gameplay and give it the depth of something like a naughty dog game. It's its own thing, not comparable really.
Oh Hellblade 2??? Really!!??.... Obviously! I'm going to guess that you either didn't play Hellblade 1 or have never played a naughty dog game or maybe both? That's a bold statement and some crazy expectations but OK. You don't even see combat in the trailer. It's basically just an in-engine story sequence.
Yeahhhh no. Hellblade was $30 at launch and the game very much reflects that. Not bad, just not Naughty Dog cinematic blockbuster material.
smh.... gameplay is in engine dork
Shit son, you really know your shit
Yeah was gonna say this too but then I don't think investors handle marketing and PR. CDPR bit off more than they could chew, I'm sure they got investor's expectations up just like everyone else's.
Ay but there's going to be a Fallen order 2 right?
That poor horse too
Glad it's a story trailer. Didn't want more gameplay / spoilers was gonna watch if I had to.
Yeah someone already said that, and that's it's an article from playstation blog so they're obviously not going to announce it for xbox.
It's cause Halo won't be on anyone's radar come TGA 2022. Throw the fanboys a bone, let em have their moment so we don't have to listen to them cry next year.
I don't like the casting choices either but I have no issues with his race. He's very of the moment (unlike some has-beens that are suggested in comments), and is white enough to play Joel imo. Many Central and South Americans have European heritage and influence on their culture (e.g. Spanish & Portugese). You don't see anyone getting upset that Bella Ramsey isn't American. Fucking stupid honestly.
He’s just some snowflake that gets triggered by trans representation in games. Honestly dude can’t shut up about it. Compensating maybe?
They already added a save option with the 2.0 update a while back. The article is about adding *more* save options.
Oh look it's snakeater again, why am I not surprised? I put 100+ hours into Returnal so idkwtf you're talking about. Responding to your comment about sales Dark Souls 3 and Jedi: Fallen both sold like 10 million, while games like Nioh and Sekiro sold 5 million which is pretty f'in amazing for a niche genre.
@Imalwaysright Geoff probably only called it 'gameplay' to make the distinction that it's not pre-rendered. Obviously there is much actual gameplay to speak of. You're only seeing Senua running to trigger an in-engine story event / cutscene, and besides some basic combat that's all she really did in Hellblade 1 anyways.
