Get over it
Miyazaki said no plans for Elden Ring 2, which this is not. Nothing to see here, move along
@gamerz WOW it never ceases to amaze me how out of touch and self-deluded people can be. You are truly exceptional
I think it was described as a fantasy game that would meet expectations, which was Elden Ring ofc.
I’d be curious to know when you think the shift to ‘mainstream’ gaming happened
consume! consume! consume!
You could say the same of Demon's Souls and Dark Souls and maybe even DS2 too, very few new or different mechanics in those. I'd argue the fragments, new weapon categories, etc., are enough to satisfy your argument though. Anyways I'm not pulling for SOTE to win, I just think that even if there were a category for expansions it might be also be unfair to be relegated to that category. Expansions are pretty loosely defined, maybe part of the reason there isn't a category for it...
Well everyone is just crying over semantics then smh
Gamers are taking this out of context, or just don't play ER. As others have said, an expansion/dlc category doesn't exist. Also, SOTE is From's biggest expansion ever, spending as much time in development as a souls game. It's nearly Elden Ring 2.
I mean all the acquisitions, subscription service remodeling, etc, Sony has had to do to stay competitive with Microsoft is expensive, and we get to pay for it, why are you surprised?
Seeing as ER is essentially open world dark souls, do we really need ER2 / ds5 so soon?
Thank game pass honestly, Sony is just pricing competitively
AI is completely unsustainable and expected to accelerate climate change. I expect government to take a harder stance on it within the next couple of decades, but by that point we may not even have a government or a gaming industry so….
I don't think it's wokeness has anything to do with anything. Planty of 'woke' games are successful. It's just not interesting or novel gameplay wise, which ironically is just like your comment.
Ew
100% extra. Fix the drift issues, give edge a decent battery. You know, real quality of life improvements.
I don’t think people don’t understand that, and I think you might be missing the point. Microsoft set a bad precedent and now competitors have to do the same to stay afloat.
Yup this device not having modular joysticks is a deal breaker for me, I go through too many sense controllers and know better
I just have one problem that can be summed up with one word: drift
You’re thinking too hard, we are just in a dearth of groundbreaking / quality new games
