I really don't understand what first party titles are worth having an xbox for. All the good exclusives are Sony's, and everything else is multiplat. It should be obvious to everyone that Microsoft has been struggling in the games arena. The $10 monthly fee, acquisition of several studios, etc. are all desperate moves to catch up with Sony. Not saying they can't, but I personally wouldn't commit to buying hardware until they prove they're committed to games again(?).
Open world
If they release it in black I'll be fine. I seldomly ever look at my PS4. This one is definitely eye catching, and an amorphous black blob will be more interesting to look at every now and then.
Doesn't sound like that to me at all
Agreed, I'd be happy with a new Elden Ring trailer rn tho.
He's talking about exclusives. Compelling reasons to choose a particular platform over another. C'mon man
Seriously. The only exclusives xbox has going for it are cuphead, ashen, and sea of thieves. The rest are a tired rehash of old IPs.
why?
Oh really? Why do they call it 'lite' then? I thought I would get more value out of a lowered priced product. I'm upset now.
Tariffs?
‘Fresh life’ ???
I have no interest in BotW, Astral Chain, Luigis Mansion, etc. Link's Awakening looks good but we already had a gameplay trailer. The only thing that might've elevated their conference is Metroid Prime 4.
It'll be at gamescom most likely
There is something to this article. I think the biggest problem with this game is the lack of an online co-op. The one feature that would have both increased sales and decreased the difficulty for unskilled players. For all the improvement made to the souls formula, this game took them a step back.
No, Nioh doesn't have the same vision or scope of the souls series. It's a game that wouldn't even exist if the souls series hadn't preceded it. That should tell you enough right there. Honestly I find the voice acting a bit on the cheesy side, and the cookie-cutter antagonist to be very anime. It's hard to take this game seriously, but that's doesn't mean it's not an enjoyable distraction to be had while we wait for the next FROM game.
God I hope that the new IP is not an exclusive VR title, and that there are indeed two games in development.
Didn't Miyazaki just announce that the studio is working on a new IP? That gives good cause for speculation does it not?
"Brighter Souls", are you serious!? FROM's inspirations have always been drawn from darker themes, and if Bloodborne is any indication I think they plan to stay the course. I'm hoping for more lovecraftian oddness honesty, and 'At the Mountains of Madness' would be the perfect source of inspiration IMO. If they decide for a Sci-Fo theme I hope they use the Alien franchise as inspiration (namely Alien and Prometheus). Either source has boundless potential to be a drea...
Definitely a B team game, but with Miyazaki polish this time. Also can't wait for the new IP. I hope it's inspired by the Mountains of Madness, or Alien or some shit. That would be amazing!
Now if only there were any Xbox games worth playing.....
