That's besides the point. When most of your market is male (or you are targeting men), making a game gender-equal is a failure of business. The same applies to women.

And no game is obliged to push certain political views anyway. The whole point of freedom of speech is that the battleground of ideas, manifested in games, books and movies, remains free and open for new contenders. Restrict that through social pressure or law and society will inevitably stagnate.

This game was made for a purely made audience (95% of whom are straight).

Thus it is irrational and stupid to include jiggling penises. By all means though, if women demand that sort of game one day, I won't oppose it. It just won't be on my radar. And if there is a market, the first studio to go there will rake in the cash.

The stupid really needs to stop on these topics. It's as if everyone has just totally forgotten economic theory, specificall...

How many people do you think finished Skyrim?

Nothing wrong with that game.

1). Snake is American. Almost everyone in the game is American and natively speak English. And no we do not need to fit your arbitrary standard of "consistency". Most people want to play a game in their own language; voice packs are good when they're not much extra effort and are native to the characters, but in this case, they fall down on the latter point.

2). A Japanese VP might delay release a bit and would take up many gigabytes of extra space.

No mention of Paradox games?

Do Crusader Kings, Europa Universalis and Hearts of Iron not warrant a mention?

Hopefully they'll use this time to make the game exceed expectations.

I find it quite ironic that the people calling everyone else sexists (or laughably, "misogynists") are those who will much praise a game purely based on its having a female protagonist; who believe that games are stale, and that the main solution to this (as opposed to creating innovative gameplay) is to slap a vagina on the player character.

Most of the people who support GG tend to also support equality among gamers. This means that women get treated the same as m...

Same here. A female lead isn't going to make or break my decision to buy a game, but it will subtly influence it, perhaps causing me to want to spend a little less on it.

This feeling, whether conscious or not (even if you think you don't take gender into account, you do; you just don't know it), is present in most human beings. Why else are female feminists the people most often asking for female characters?

The people clicking disagree on your c...

For many, yes. For others, piracy might mean picking the game up later on a sale where they would otherwise have boutht it full price, or at a lower discount.

Piracy does cost the industry money; that's beyond doubt (and inflicts intrusive DRM on consumers); the question is how much.

The job ad "epic war in Skyrim" was probably for a TES:Online DLC.

That's because it is wrong to tar a whole movement by the actions of a few. If I get assaulted by a few socialists, this does not mean that socialism is a violent movement based around assaulting people.

This article is biased libel.

"you have the audacity to talk about pushing divisive politics while literally pushing your own"

Essentially what you're implying here is that criticising someone for pushing a divisive cause is pushing your own, thereby assigning equal "guilt".

Firstly this is not correct, as such a response is reactive rather than proactive; a defender is surely less guilty than an attacker on an objective level, no? Disagreeing is essentially disagr...

Definitely more damaging than games (which are not damaging).

Nowhere near as damaging as the social justice police infecting the internet at the moment.

So now the Daily Mail is accepting worthless left-wing pieces which include criticism of perfectly enjoyable "damsel in distress tropes" (it's in the original article).

What a waste of paper. Sitting on the fence is only going to find it impaled.
