I remember the days when you started off in RPGs as a random nobody, and your character wasn't even voiced.

Those games (many considered among the greatest of all time) did not receive complaints like this.

It seems that some people cannot appreciate games these days. To be fair though, this is RPS, so they were always going to criticise him as a white male protagonist. If he had a vagina, he would be praised by them as the best character of all time....

The Bioware which made Jade Empire and Dragon Age: Origins is dead.

Tragic but true.

I only encountered two glitches in my entire time (150 hours) playing TW3. Neither was game-breaking.

I actually found there to be more bugs in Dragon Age Inquisition. But look, if you're going to play such a massive RPG, a few bugs are to be expected. I don't have a problem with that, and I think it's a good thing that devs like CDProjekt keep fixing bugs long after release rather than simply give up and let those which remain never get fixed.

Bioware has been irrelevant for a long time. Their employees are openly racist (by way of official channels - particularly Manveer Heir), and their games have become so sanitised by a desire to not offend anyone that they have become bland and uninteresting.

CDProjekt has surpassed them in every way.

Sadly, too many people do not want to live and let live. Too many are intolerant, hateful bigots who think morality is black and white.

3505d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

You're free to find it distasteful. So am I. Muslims find you eating pork and refusing to submit to Islam distasteful.

But you know what? That's just their opinion.

The first step in stopping bigotry is to stop being bigots. That involves accepting alternative moralities. This is a game, and nobody has been physically hurt during the process of making or playing it. Therefore, there is no problem.

If you don't like it don&#...

Troll article. Engadget should be blacklisted.

Bigots like the author do not deserve publicity; their vile opinions should be relegated to the darkest corners of the Internet.

You get a two hour demo in which you can refund it.

3506d ago 1 agree2 disagreeView comment

Obviously if someone has spent more than 2 hours they're not entitled to a refund.

Nobody has the right to play any game for as long as they want and refund it. Otherwise, devs would make no money and there would be no games to play.

They don't need to explain themselves. Nobody else cares what SJWs think - they just complain about literally everything. The most miserable people in the world.

Doesn't bother me. It's obvious that the HR endings could not all be included. Too much work for too little reward.

This has nothing to do with console games belonging on consoles. PC and consoles both use x86 code, so porting is very easy. The hard part is optimisation, and the problem with No Man's Sky is that the devs probably rushed it.

This generation, consoles are basically PCs with closed operating systems.

Yeah, I think Bethesda need a break from Tamriel and the wasteland. Plus, it would be nice to see something new.

Maybe they take their gameplay style into space? Or maybe a pirate game? Maybe a completely new fantasy setting, possibly incorporating steampunk or cyberpunk art.

I'm sure whatever they do will be great. I just can't wait to find out what it is.

3525d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

Isn't that sort of the point?

A solo journey across the universe? Why do you think that in so many space movies, solitude is a major theme?

3527d ago 2 agree2 disagreeView comment

And *that* is why multiplayer would have been a terrible idea. Trolls.

I'm not opposed to co-op, but the idea of it being an MMO would suck.

3527d ago 1 agree2 disagreeView comment

Yeah, because that's exactly what happens in DayZ, Ark, and Rust...

Why would your first instinct be to kill them?

I would just ignore.

Here we go again...

@Kalebninja

The reason for that is that women tend to want to work flexible hours, because they also want to spend time with their children.

Life is not all about money. Why work 60 hour weeks so you can buy a nice house which you never get to spend time in until you are old?

It's a reasonable lifestyle choice not to want to live to work.

Before the mid 30s, women earn as much if not more than men.

The world was great. I'm not a fan of the modern/futuristic stuff personally, so I liked that.

But the gameplay was a bit lacklustre compared to previous entries.
