Why are they apologising? It was covered in the ESRB rating.
I don't see a problem with it. I'm boycotting the game until they unpatch it.
It means different things in different countries, to different people, and in different time periods.
Look, we can use the SJW definition, which means "men communicating with women", or we can apply a more sensible definition where a situation is not easily avoidable, continues after requests to stop, and involves the realistic fear of some form of physical threat.

You cannot be sexually harassed in a video game.
And if you think you can, you're probably too mentally childish to be playing video games anyway.
Hating Islam isn't the same as hating Muslims. I've read the qur'an, and it contains a fair few passages which are difficult to interpret as anything other than bigoted. Same with Christianity and Christians.
It's worth noting (and forgive me for confirming Godwin's Law here) that hatred thrives in the presence of strong opposition. The Nazis needed the communists to get into power.

Because if you don't understand WHY, how the hell are you going to convince them to see the light?
If something is not justifiable, explain why it is not justifiable to the person who said it, rather than intimidating or abusing them into submission (which doesn't work). Getting someone you disagree with fired or removed from their position might make you feel good, but it doesn't change anyone's mind and makes you look like the bully.

This is the problem. Someone says something stupid, and rather than ask "why" we call them racists, ban them, and refuse to talk to them.
How does this convince them to genuinely change their mind through seeing their error? It may shock people to learn that intimidating people into an apology does not change their views so much as it does disguise them.

Enough with the identity politics!!! Has nobody learned anything from this election?
Make an article titled "five great videogame *characters* who would make great presidents" and I will read it.
Feminism is the leading cause of asexualism in young men.
This has nothing to do with whether they're a good thing. It's about whether or not preorder content should be permanently locked off from those who buy the game after release.
If you're against preorder bonuses, then is this not something you would support?
I don't see a problem. It's nice when everyone can enjoy preorder content, though they should indeed pay more for it, at least initially.
There will be jobs building the wall.
Finding a job is a full time job which you get paid nothing for.
That's why people don't bother looking.
Only if it is clearly outside the scope of the base game.
So if a game goes into access early in development, and sets a broad scope, then probably not. But if a game comes into EA late and lays out exactly what features will be in the game, then yes, that's fine. DLC can be great when handled correctly.
Obviously it should be out of early access.
Don't be stupid. Failures are usually learning experiences....unless you're Peter Molyneux.
This article is petty racism. So yes, it is alive and well.
But...but....they want more green.
@fr0sty
Not even that. I just want the ability to play my games offline without connection to the internet. I won't often do it, but sometimes I will.
There's a certain pleasure to having your computer disconnected from time to time. Puts the "personal" back into "personal computer".
Give the guy a break.
How much do you want to bet that these people won't be demanding that African game studios include white characters when they get going in the future?
