I'll reply to your other response here, as I can do so directly. I'm no progressive. I'm a far-right anti-feminist. I can't help the fact that I find moralistic conservatives to be as bad as moralistic feminists.
I think I put forward a reasonable case for Capcom to take action contrary to this decision. You clearly disagree: that's your prerogative.
@Notellin
The train has left the station on that one. When I was 14, I didn't know anyone who didn't watch porn. And to be honest, porn is safer than sex, as it doesn't come with STDs and pregnancy. I actually don't see that as a massive problem.
I mean we can all sit here as adults and moralise about how wrong it is, or we can spare a thought for our pubescent selves. Anyone motivated to watch porn by seeing a YP logo was probably already...
@Kaleb
That's an astoundingly intolerant view of it.
You know, I actually consider myself tolerant of Christianity, but now I'm thinking that Nietzsche's analysis of the faith might have been correct.
Because it's 2016, not 1916, and porn is just a part of everyday life now. To be honest, your attitude seems to come from this idea that women who have sex for money are promiscuous and sinful, having their innocence defiled by such an industry. This is patronising and silly.
Prudishness is not rational. It's a manifestation of insecurity, and bigotry. I would rather be associated with porn than with those attitudes.
They need to get with the times.
Don't be ridiculous. Actors and actresses are nothing more than bodies and faces which fulfil roles. Their appearance is 50% of being an actor.
Discrimination in other fields is unnecessary, and harmful, but in acting, it's part of the job.
This is an obvious political statement. But fair enough: at least he's putting it in his own game and not dragging down other people here, like SJWs usually do.
But I won't give the man a penny. That Tweet is downright abusive, calling people who he disagrees with stuck in the past.
You know, maybe it was too much to expect you to be reasonable.
And I think you'll find that most people here aren't homophobic, but just hate the way SJWs treat homosexuality like some sort of cool and fashionable thing.
If a dev openly attacked SJWs, included content they would disapprove of in their game (skimpy outfits or something), and then had gay characters and even a gender neutral toilet, nobody would bat an eyelid. At least then we woul...
Perhaps if they made intelligent, balanced points, and instead of criticising the choices made by others, focused on their own games, people would not only stop criticising them, but listen to what they had to say.
If you are "radical egalitarian", then it's hard to understand how other people view you, because you don't see why your ideas might be contentious. Others view you as they would view Christians. Do you not agree that while Christianity is fine ...
To call the picture "misogynistic" is either mutilation of the English language, or a sign of severe mental decay.
But then those do tend to be the symptoms of SJWism.
People are hostile because we understand it is a form of soft censorship, like if everyone started calling violence in video games morally wrong and tried to remove it. We like our video games morally diverse, and SJWism is honestly like a religion, seeking to impose the one "true" morality on all games, and looking down on those which don't conform.
It's bad for the industry, and it's bad for all of us who have open minds we like to feed.
They need to delay and expand.
I've killed hundreds of thousands of people mercilessly over my many years of gaming, and you find THIS morally rephrehensible? I've killed zero people in real life, and I honestly don't see this strange little mod turning people into pedophiles.
But you know, I'm not surprised a website like Kotaku is leading the charge for game censorship. Unprincipled, moral vanity is their only concern.
Let me save you time folks: this is an SJW piece, whinging about anti-SJW rhetoric not being banned or deleted on Steam.
Don't give it the click.
730,000 British soldiers dead. 1,150,000 French soldiers dead. 2,000,000 German soldiers dead. 1,800,000 Russian soldiers dead. 1,000,000 Austrians dead. Just 50,000 Americans soldiers lost, and the protagonist is American?
This is downright offensive to Europeans. I swear, EA have only done this so they can shoehorn an African American protagonist and leftie social commentary into the game.
Don't give Polygon the time of day. Disgusting, bigoted people who only seek to push their narrow-minded political views on others.
@GameCrateEd
Perhaps then I've not explained myself very well.
I simply mean that the domestic culture tends to be "default". It may not be present in a majority of media content created in a country, but it will almost always be present in a plurality.
And by culture, I do include reference points as well, like Tom Cruise in the Last Samurai, or Lord of the Rings being based on Germanic myth.
I'm fr...

Anime is made in Japan, and is often set in Japan. Hollywood movies are often set in the USA. Chinese movies are almost all set in China. Indian movies India. What's your point?
Yes, many of us love foreign movies. I probably watch more foreign stuff than domestic. But this does not affect the general trend.
But I don't think it is so. Almost the entire market for non-online console and PC games is in Europe, North America, and Japan. Africa, India, Southeast Asia, and South America pirate if they play at all. China mostly plays online stuff.
So the vast majority of people who spend money on games like Dark Souls or The Witcher are European, Japanese, or North American. Naturally, they have a preference for stories set within their cultures, meaning that, diversity is not e...
They could have at least finished the Half Life 2 storyline.
