I actually forgot all about Contracts mode, it aint all doom and gloom afterall. Although i really hope it works out like you said and how its supposed to, if so then it should add real depth to the game and give us that "Hitman" experience.
EDIT: Damn, was meant to post this as a reply to SouthClaw above.
Is it worth buying?
You and the review in the article mention the more linear approach and the lack of "do it your way" approach in a some of the missions. Also the lack inventory setup. This is a huge reason why i love the Hitman games. The planning, the observing and then when its all done i would look back on the mission and think about the things i would do different the next time. Obvious...
Im not trying to be offensive or anything but whats the difference where it comes from? Isnt it all just peoples opinions at the end of the day?
Unless you mean the sites who just give poor scores to get attention, then i agree and just ignore me if thats the case.
When i first seen the title i thought "Ah its just some guys opinion, this is Hitman, i know im gonna love it so nothing to worry about".
But this guy sounds like a genuine fan and i agree with the aspects of the game he is disappointed with.
"The review pans the game for its art style and overuse of bloom, poor story, small levels, pointless objectives (e.g. open a door), no saves, bad AI.
The review also points out that the game activ...
I partially agree. I do think it would of been nice if it was easier to play with friends, BUT I also think it was fine the way it was because it added the element of risk and dread that the game excels at. What i mean is, everything in Dark Souls has an element of risk and especially the co-op. Because if you want help to make the game that bit more easier you then also have to leave yourself open to invasions, thats the price. Also the fact that you cant easily hook up to friends add to tha...
Dark Souls.
"Looks like everybody have knowledge of everything.
People are terrible in their judgment because they think to be able to say what is good and what is bad in a couple of minutes."
- That doesnt make any sense whatsoever, really, read it and then think about what it means.
Anyway, i'm judging from what ive seen and i also used the word "looks", not "is" or "will be".
From what ive seen of ...
Same, story looks ridiculous but the world just looks so good, cant wait to explore it.
Agreed.
Plus the few months delay should do a world of good because this game really does look ambitious and needed the extra time, hopefully it was enough time.
At least one thing is certain, when you play this game you wont get a sense of "been here, done that" familiarity that you get with most games nowadays.
Hitman is shite and when i say shite i mean absolutely brilliant!
One of my favorite game series, just so much fun to play, Dishonored actually kinda reminded of it and made me want it even more, the wait has been way too long for Agent 47 to appear this generation.
Really is a slow buggy game, small things but annoying nonetheless. Like the delay when you return to the main menu, the saving of everything even when you dont change anything, whatever happened to saving in the background. The long delays for substututions, sometimes its fine then you have times where you're either staring at a player walking or the 4th official holding up the numbers for what seems like ages when you're having a great game with a friend or tense game in career mode...
I was never a 'huge' fan of AC, i always enjoyed to an extent, like the beautiful worlds the games created, exploring them and the free-running aspect, also the games are packed with stuff to do.
That being said, i could never finish one due to a lack of interest the further i got into one, but mostly because i always found the controls for climbing and combat very clumsy and therefore frustrating. He never did what you wanted him to do and chose not to in the situations where...
Sounds like good old Hitman.
Cant wait, its been way too long.
So true, the only exception is some RPGs.
You look at God Of War, everyone sees that as a great single player experience, but now they have multiplayer, whether it will be good or not i dont know, but i would be pretty confident that single is going to suffer as a result.
Even Dishonored, which im playing now and loving, you just know their will be a sequel and it will most likely have multiplayer.
I feel developers are kinda forced to add in mp from their publishers a...
Yeah i was the same, really wanted to kill the bastard but didn't because i thought he would redeem himself too, which he probably wont.
But i also did it because throughout the game ive tried being the "do the right thing" kinda guy, even in the face of Armageddon ala Rorschach. But man do Telltale really blur the line of what is 'right' in this game and thats why i love it, there is no easy clear cut decisions, they all have consequences.
Ive...
Cant wait for this, haven't played Souls in a while, gonna be rusty.
Didn't like the "adding more Bonfires" at first, but can see how it would be very useful to get to certain spots faster when you wanna do some co-op i.e. Dukes Archive.
Anyone know the price in euro? I'm assuming its the same as dollars, usually is, so €15, am i right or am i right...or am i right?
Thanks man, hate that crap.
One thing thats annoying me about this years game is the lack of movement of strikers in the box, every time i cross it they stand behind the defender. Also everyone runs into the box, its hard to get players to wait outside for a shot. Also also, i play with manual long passing and ive somewhat mastered playing diagonal balls into the box, the sort of balls that players run onto and knock in, but my strikers just wont react them, they actually sta...
Damn right!
Sounds great, really cant wait to get stuck into this game. Love open-world games and Far Cry is among my favorite of those.
Although im pretty confident that the story will be crap, after seeing the trailer at E3, where your cliche mid-twenties tourist becomes an Agent 47/John Rambo type of guy overnight, that kinda nipped that in the bud for me. But i don't really care because its all about the gameplay and exploring the world with this game for me.
I kinda know how you feel, to some extent.
Im growing very wary of the direction the gaming industry is going. Games are getting shorter, easier - i dont mean the difficulty, rather the lack of thinking and skill required i.e go to A, (Big flashing A), now press X etc..-, everything has to have multiplayer, the lack of creativity or originality because everyone is jumping on the band wagon of what is selling etc...
But more importantly, and worrisome, is that games ar...
