True, i definitely noticed the people who i recommended this game either loved it and became as addicted as i was or had no interest at all and couldn't understand why i loved it so much.
Kinda like MGS series, its either love or hate.
I actually never played Co-op in it, it never occurred to me. I remember reading a review and the guy was saying how its a very difficult game to complete by yourself, but i didnt find it so, some of the bosses seemed impossible at first but you eventually found their weakness or a technique to beat them.
That was on the PSP, i have the HD collection now, could you play co-op on that version?

I kinda agree. I like MGS4, loved it as a game, but as a MGS experience it didnt deliver at all. I cant put my finger on it but it just lacked that MGS feeling and like you once i finished i never replayed, actually also like you, i would play the first two acts then just get bored of it.

Agreed, MGS3 is my all time favorite game, not much comes close to the experience i had playing that game. Big Boss, The Boss, the bosses (The End!!!), the gameplay, the story, the ending, the soundtrack....all perfect.

Personally, which is what it all comes down too, PES hasn't turned up this gen and i dont care what people say because every single year i hear people talking about how "its different this year", like they are this year. Maybe its different for them, they enjoy the game and have that pes feeling back, if so i really envy them because i haven't got it since PES 6.

I have played the demo. It would make no sense not to. I love the pes series and would love for it to return to those glory days, where i spent countless hours, but it hasn't and i dont think it will until next gen because the devs cant get to grips with this generation.
I must of said this in a ton of PES articles on here and i'll say it again, when you read interviews with the pes devs and when you play the game, you can see what they are trying to do. They have the right id...

The "Great Migration" is so relatable to me and i expect a lot of the old PES guys too.
Infact, i actually single-handily introduced PES to my town, i used to play PES non-stop. But the difference was i had all the option-files, so i had no problem with dodgy team names or kits. My friends tried pes but because of the lack of licences and no knowledge of an option-file, they just thought pes was a stupid, cheap looking game.

Well i never considered the Soul games that difficult, or rather not as much as its reputation suggest. Relatively speaking, compared to this generations general gaming difficulty, then yeah its hard as hell. But it just reminds me of an old-school game where they just throw you into this world with your sword and shield and say "Off you go".

Strange, only knew of this game since the other day while going thru a Edge mag at a store, thought it looked awesome and the sort of game i'd loved to get lost in, then noticed it was PC only.

I dont think the jump to next gen will be one by traditional means i.e. one console to another. Because its gone way beyond that.
It used to be a console were for playing games solely, music and watching movies were cool little features but rarely used. To be honest, like most tv/movie tie ins, i thought it would be crap. Played the demo and kinda liked it, had a fiver on my account so just downloaded the 1st episode and i fell in love with the game.
Like people said, the focus on characters and story is really strong, the decisions really do make a difference and they're very tough to make at times. I only played as far as episode 2 and that episode was for me better that season 2 of the actual show.
