Lol you're kidding right? Marcus being a European got the most integrity out of all the staff on GT, he doesn't bend to corporate and mainstream ideals but rather speak out of objective opinions. Shane was terrible in that sense, he's the only reason BLOPS2 got the high score it didn't deserved, the same with RE6.
Shane said so many outlandish things one could hardly believe it, like when he said that a smaller games wouldn't deserve GOTY just cause there...
CPU is a bit disappointing, however people seem to forget all about the pretty competent GPU, which is way better than any current gen console, and one that apparently supports GPGPU. This means it can be used for physics calculation and such if need be (A GPU mind you is much better at these types of calculations than a CPU)
I'm pretty sure neither of those were pre-rendered but were actually drawn in real time by the Wii U hardware. That just gets to show what you can do when you design something for a specific hardware. We've come to a standstill in the current gen but the Wii U still got all its miles ahead of it.
I'm really impressed with what developers have managed to do with the current gen console tech in terms of visuals, though I am of course a bit bitter since the importanc...
Well the price for a high end graphics card today costs more than the full retail price of the Wii U.
That's 400$ just for one component (GPU), if people believe the next generation will ever come close to the performance of these cards they're simply dreaming.
Now granted it's not exactly the same thing, buying in massed amounts of chips for a console and a single PC GPU but the technology do cost a lot, not only manufacturing but the GPU develo...
I'm not worried, efficiency of tools will increase too.
It's pretty obvious from looking at the core demographic that at least 50% - probably more - of the Wii sales were to people who would never label themselves as gamers and would've never bought an Xbox or PS3, I think it'll be hard for Nintendo to tease these people once more now when they've already had their taste and probably feel pretty filled up when it comes to games, cause compare to the core crowd the casuals don't really see the benefit of an upgrade.

At least you're being consistent then! Which is way more than what could be said for many others! I respect that
It's madness isn't it. It's a shame people today can't seem to look beyond petty fanboyism to at least be logical. The Wii U is not over-priced, and that's the end of it. Do they believe the next Xbox and Playstation will come out cheaper yet many times more powerful than the Wii U? That just blows my mind!
Really? So I take it you wont buy any next gen console then. Cause it wont get any cheaper than Wii U
This is a very bad decision on Nintendos part and one I can not comprehend why they would make. If it turns out to be so I have to excuse all the times I've taken this for granted in the comments, though the technology is there and there's no real reason why not to have this implemented - from a technological standpoint anyway.
...There's not enough salt on the planet to swallow this rumour, the CPU claims especially seems outlandish.
I think he kinda got a point. I was sure Nintendo would do it right this time, and in many things they have but they did get so much for free with stable digital distribution services having exist for so long now (Steam comes to mind) that they really have no excuse to be just as good or better. The latest about them not even having integrated the VC with the Wii U OS but instead opted to emulate the Wii including its VC and all is just unforgivable.
Nintendo gets a lot of un...
This is kinda disappointing.. Why wouldn't they make a proper integration with the Wii U for VC etc.
Why did that surprise you? If anything it should go something like this: "It's 2012, so of course an Ethernet port isn't needed". How is moving forward a sign of being behind? I fully understand why not to have cable support. Who doesn't have a wireless router now a days anyway.
Also, someone mentioned that the Online will be laggy..What? NO it wont! I use wireless on all my computers, and I play games and download things in top speeds.
It's fine, Looks Nintendo-like. I'm sure it'll function splendid, which is what matters, how intuitive the UI can be, not personal preference on the style.
More interesting I find is why Luigi is so prominently exposed... In the 3DS eShop you can pick a Mario category to find games with Mario in them, if that shows anything like that perhaps games like Luigis Mansion will be featured on the eShop?!
Way better than any western commercial so far.
They honestly gotta troll cause no one would out themselves as being that stupid.. oh wait..
It's not a patch for petes sake, it adds the online features.
What's the problem? Really? Anyone fancy giving me a reason to why this is a practical problem for anyone? If you don't want to go online you wont need any of the features anyway.. Jeez, why are people so childish? *sigh*
Yeah No it won't have a byte more than 4GB, and even that sound kinda in the high end.
@BLuKhaos
Lol if you gotta play games on low/medium to get "good framerate" then your computer can't max out games. The definition of a high end computer is one that can play new games on high/max settings in an HD resolution and get good framerate.
