It does, finally some new things coming our way. I wonder whether this says something about the PS4 release date. Launch title perhaps?! 22 November, in 40 days we'll know.
How about Total War
Mistake? lol. Ask yourself this, have there been a console yet you wouldn't buy solely cause you thought it was too ugly? If anyone answers 'yes' on this question, you're stupid I'm sorry.
Yeah I haven't bought a COD game since COD4, It was already pretty obvious that MW2 was a rehash too.
lol this guy right here^ (jcnba28)
Anyway, it's an alright name!
@harrisk954
Exactly, it says something about what's important, even if it's only about mindset. Sony will do those things too, but they want us to know that it's not what's important. Cause let's face it, gamers buy gaming consoles, not movie enthusiast. And sure it is great to be able to watch Netflix on your Xbox or Playstation, but that's just a convenience really.
That they put "Gaming" first doesn't mean anything. Now I'm a PC gamer but I have liked what the PS4 has shown so far (Since it will effect PC gaming positively). But what you probably can read into that "of games, TV and entertainment." Is that games will be sharing focus with entertainment and TV. Which would actually speak for it to be less about games than the PS4.
A box can do many things decently or one thing great! So I for one did not like ...
It's neither of those two cards. The GPU is using the same architecture as both of them though (GCN). The GPU will be potent I'm sure. No worries.
The latency actually isn't that important when it comes to GAMES, since only CPU computes benefits from low latency. And in all honesty, the CPU isn't THAT important when we're talking games, as he even said; during the lifecykle more and more tasks will be put on the GPU - why? Cause it's actually better at it than the CPU. Managing within an OS structure is when the CPU is important. The PS4 is a game machine, not a task manager.
lol NO! I urge everybody to stop buying these games, instead of just talking about how bad they are. I for one has had enough of the same game. I want new experiences, don't ruin it for all of us!
I'm sure the FFv13 we all saw those years ago is scrapped. SquareEnix will announce FF15 and it will be primarily designed for PS4 (Hence why they scrapped v13), Sony wanted a good launch exclusive for the new console, asked SE, they said OK, scrapped the progress they had done and started from scratch. And there you got the explanation of why this game has been so long in development. Now this is what I think, but I believe it would be kinda plausible.
Aha! Well there, you said it yourself. You're looking to know what the focus of the nextbox will be, well the specs can actually tell us quite a bit about that. Particularly the memory, the DDR3 vs GDDR5 debate is in this regard highly interesting. Cause if the nextbox as rumoured goes with the DDR3 it then tells us that it is as speculated in fact more multi-media oriented and less gaming so (DDR3 being better with multi-tasking and what not - let's say more CPU oriented rather than ...
@nirwanda
Seeing how they are mainly gaming machines (well at least the PS4) the bigger bandwidth of GDDR5 is quite the advantage over DDR3. I believe Microsofts choice going with DDR3 rather than higher bandwidth memory tells us a little something about the next Xbox focuses - being more multi-everything oriented and less about games. The PS4s design is pretty much how you would design a gaming-machine.
Don't think the DDR3 would rake any benefit over th...
It would make no sense for them to delay it in Europe seeing how popular the Playsation is in here contra the US (The Playstation have sold a lot more units in Europe than in the US)
I'm sure the game had come a fair bit in development when Sony told SE about the PS4 and that they wanted a game for it. This probably led to SE to scrap all progress so far to start from scratch developing for the PS4 (an explanation to why it's been in development for so long). Expect a game with the same concept but something you haven't seen before made primarily for the PS4.
That's what I think anyway.
If FFXV is a launch title for the PS4 it very well could be a system seller, one Sony would like to have (Hence why they've paid for exclusivity)
Wouldn't make no sense, the Playstation brand is bigger in Europe then it is in the US even. Sony would be stupid not to chase its biggest market!
Finally! So much BS above this I can't believe it. There's no such thing as "Future proof". I paid 1500$ for my PC in the fall of 2011 (I built it myself so it was maximised spec wise), I can really feel its age already. It's also why its so stupid to buy let's say a Titan card today, in 2 years a card that costs a 5th of a Titan will outperform it. Computer technology doubles its performance every 2 years (Moores law), this was already a fact in 1965.
@lopez_josue
Actually he NES games pretty much have nothing to do with Kojimas original games which both came out on the MSX2. If you want to know the full story, play those games and not the NES versions where the first one was a butchered port missing many things from the MSX original and the second NES game (Snakes revenge) having nothing to do with Kojima. Both MSX originals can be found on the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection (They are really great games so everyone shoul...
There's been no indication that the next Xbox GPU will have dedicated RAM other than eDRAM used as a bus for the system memory (DDR3). If the nextbox uses 12 GB of DDR3 memory there's no way in hell they also got 2 GB GDDR5 dedicated to the GPU. In any way, the large amount of system RAM in DDR3 configuration speaks of a console more aimed at entertainment and used as a mediahub rather than a gaming machine - which is in line with what we've heard about the nextbox.
