@Basjohn:

With 802.11g, your theoretical speed is around 54mbps, but reality is that you get closer to around half, which is around 27mpbs and that is pretty much at ideal practical conditions. The unfortunate thing is 802.11g runs on 2.4GHz, which wireless phones, microwaves and a host of other devices tend to interfere with. 2.4GHz is open so a lot of devices uses it, so it is very crowded.

I experience interference from my neighbors because they all use 80...

I think you are the only gamer that eats veggies and drink water. However, I try to eat lots of very green/dark lettuce and veggies with my mail frequently. Even drink that awesome fruit/lettuce drink called green machine! XD

Gaming is highly sedentary, and I wish my place wasn't so small, otherwise I would use UFC Trainer more.

@Pekolie:

"I would agree but its not exactly relevant when were talking about the "superior" version of a game since this isn't an in-game feature supplied by Activision."

Allthough not provided by Activision, it certainly is a factor in choosing a platform preference to buy games on. It's no co-incidence that games like CoD tend to sell the best on Xbox 360 despite the annual XBL Gold fee. People view it as worth the cost.

@Neko_Mega:

Good for you!

I like to meet people online, work as a team, actually have communication going, because people have microphones, easily setup a team with party system, beacons and cross game chat. I also like, getting frequent *feature*updates instead of pretty much bug fixes only.

Xbox Live also get a larger cloud storage than PSN, almost no maintenance downtime of the network (can't even remember the last time), and fast patc...

The main reason being, that the Xbox Live is superior for voice and party chat. There is a reason why online games are so popular on XBL. It's the social connectivity that is unmatched on consoles.

I wish Nintendo was right, as some of the social aspects of Nintendo Network discussed was interesting and potentially very exciting, but Nintendo has expressed that MS/Sony is too far ahead to catch up.

Couple that with past bonehead decisions like Wii Friend...

I really don't understand the dislike for something you don't *need* to use?

Voice control with Kinect so far has been all optional, so why the disagree?

I guess some people are the type of person that thinks if *I* don't enjoy it, nobody else should!!!

@spicelicka:

I sure wish there was more squad control options, even though it isn't currently part of Gears. Horde would be better with squad control.

Well said!

It's much too early too pass judgement on a product that is UNRELEASED and we know almost no technical detail about!!!

If you look at the early launch games and the games we have now, they are night and day. Not to mention, the Wii U actually renders two (yes, TWO) screens due to the tablet controller.

This is also a port, so we should really look at some of the first party games to see where it is headed.

If you want graphics, then PC is where it is at right now.

Playstation is also the only brand of console that deliberately forced removed a feature after I purchased and OWN the console.

Nintendo hardware might not be the powerhouse, but they sure have two things. Unique hardware features and sustainable business model.

I'm no fan of Nintendo and at this point increasingly less interested in Wii U, but the most fun and laughter was had while playing on Wii and now it's replacement Kinect.

Graphics is important, but more important is the overall experience! How many games do you play, that part of the gameplay or story is just abysmal,...

I don't know, both Wii and Kinect has several million game sellers specific to their platform.

The first Kinect Sports sold over 3 million copies, while Dance Central sold over 2 million. I don't need to mention Wii and the myriad of successful games.

PS Move despite the potential, hasn't shown anything I have seen that consumers adopted. Can anyone fill me in here?

I think that speaks volumes about what is a farce and what isn&#...

I would have loved to have voice control. Both Mass Effect 3 and Skyrim's Kinect support was well received.

Granted GoW:J doesn't have as complex controls, but controlling squad members would be awesome "Cole move up!"

So yeah, I want Kinect support!

"Seriously, the Wii browser isn't much better. It's harder to navigate and a bit more limiting."

The Wii browser doesn't crash and ask me gazillion times about a plug-in I already said no to.

The use of a Wii mote with the browser makes it very easy to navigate and the browser doesn't crash! Far easier than using a DualShock controller w...

A google search would do you both some good!

Sony has had too price cuts since 2009 and MS has had none. How do you think the lowest Xbox 360 model is within $50 of the PS3 that started off at $500-600?

@BlackTar187:

Don't know why anyone would give you a disagree. It's a question, not an opinion or anything to disagree over.

PS3 had a $100 price cut in Aug 2009 and then another $50 price cut in Aug of 2011 in the US.

The Xbox 360 has held it's price steady since roughly the end of 2008. Like Sony though, MS have added value to the console by upgrading hard drives and etc.

It's still amazing to see Xbox 360 s...

Sorry Sony, but "unleashing the power" of PS3/PSN after 6-years is a little too late. It is 6-year old technology and it shows!

The latest firmware update didn't exactly unleash anything other than a few minor bug fixes and enabled a few insignificant features.

5005d ago 30 agree89 disagreeView comment

I think Sony had a 15 million target last year for the PS3 and missed it even after a price drop.

So I'm pretty sure, he didn't mean 30 million for PS3, but for Playstation branded stuff overall including PS2, PS3 and PS Vita. Still a pretty tall order though.

LOL!

"Sony have finally removed the pop-up that asks you about plug-ins multiple times per session and in some cases multiple times per page."

but, but, but a browser has been available on PS3 all this time! If it only was useful and didn't crash every time I tried to use it and bug the shit out of me.

Even the Wii browser is better. The WII! Seriously, the WII!!!
