First of all, the leaked document was from around mid 2011 around the same time Wii U was announced, so it doesn't mean MS copied Nintendo. Not that it even matters who copies who, only who makes it good or better!

Maybe I will grow to like it since I didn't like the original phat. As the years progressed, the original phat looks far better than the slim, and this is by far the ugliest.

Personally, I only care about the end result, my personal experience!
However, Nintendo (or whoever) achieves that goal doesn't matter. It could be low specs, but lots of fun and I will take that over high specs, over-engineered, pricey and boring.
I own a Wii and enjoy that quite a bit, and looking forward to see what Nintendo has in store for Wii U. That's where the things are going to be happening in the next year or so.

He wasn't planning on spending money, why put card information in? Obviously he spent money for Xbox Live Gold and makes it possible to buy other stuff. This is how practically every website or service works. It's called convenience!

As the article states, there are plenty of opportunities to see you are being charged. If you aren't responsible enough to have a card, and raise a child, the problem isn't MS (or anyone elses)!
Not requiring those 3-digits is by design. The vast majority, don't have issues. Isn't it clear who the problem is with?
I play Gears of War 3 a lot, and there I find people very nice with the occasional annoying guy with the music in the background. I just mute them.
On some games like CoD, it tends to get nastier. Has something to do with the younger demographics, maturity and culture.
This doesn't really change for any platform, be it Xbox Live, PSN or PC in my experience. Super popular games, tends to congregate immature or ignorant people.
I think the threat is more from Windows 8 than Android. The fragmentation issue that plagues Android is increasingly causing problems.
Windows 8 will do away with a lot of those problems and developers have plenty of experience coding advanced games for Windows in general.
Make a mini dongle for the Xbox 360 Controller and you are good to go! Controller to bulky today, then play on the touch screen!
Well, your computer is potentially redundant. I replaced my HTPC with my Xbox 360. It does pretty much everything I want, just better than my computer on the big screen.
Anything else, I use my Kindle Fire. It's a prefect setup, if only Android was better. Maybe Windows 8 will fill that gap (or maybe, just maybe an iPad).

MS, BlackBerry and Palm (among others) was in the phone business for a long time before Apple beat em down into a pulp.
Decades of "experience" didn't stop Sony from beating Nintendo for 2-generations and subsequently MS from dethroning Sony.

At 60-69k margin, the Xbox 360 outsold the PS3 by over 30%. That is no small feat considering the rock bottom price of the PS3 with free online games and *supposed* exclusives while Xbox 360 hasn't had a price cut for years.
Like always MS delivers the sale around Christmas. Remember last year, when MS doubled the PS3 sales and sold almost a million more just in December alone in the US?

This is the largest change in terms of game play that I have seen Gears of War undergo. Even the art style and direction is markedly different.

Looks like I pissed off a lot of people, but that doesn't change facts.
Sony has been deemed to be worth only $12.9 billion on the open market a staggering decline from $20 billion this April. In fact, Sony went from a $140+ billion in 2000 and is worth less than a tenth of that 12-years later.
