If we're going to be pedantic, no man's sky has only been around for 8 years.
Fallout 76 is popular now too 10 years and numerous patches later. So it's possible.... though unlikely.
Broke ass people are the ones buying the games or trying to play them for free?
Such a weirdly specific expectation.
Is.... that not how new game+ normally works?
Millions...... and millions.....
"Let's look at it this way, please explain to me how Microsoft is encouraging people to buy hardware by expanding their subscription service to more options than before and releasing all their games on PC. How does that support consoles? How does it encourage people to buy the hardware? How is that not giving people more options to not rely on hardware to play their games?"
Releasing game pass on other services isn't about selling more consoles. It's a...
Xbox will probably end as a console, but not because of an app on smart TVs.
Because of the lack of exclusives.
Because of the lack of 3rd parties releasing games for it.
Because they are slowly going 3rd party themselves.
Won't be long before they pull a Sega.
^ What? People get consoles just for games all the time. That's the whole point of getting a console.
If your argument is that people that can stream games would never buy a console for the same games, I would argue that depends on the streaming quality. Streaming quality / responsiveness doesn't touch physical hardware running natively. As long as that remains true, there will always be a reason for a console.
This is not heading towards replacing consoles. This is providing people another way to play the games they want to play. Cloud gaming will never replace console gaming, but it can supplement it.
I had a nice spot on my media center for my PS3. When I upgraded to the Ps4, I removed the PS3 and put the PS4 in that spot. When I upgraded to the PS5, the PS5 would not fit and I basically had to do some minor renovations to accommodate its size.
I'll take a boring looking box over one that that's thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis big. PS5 nor Series X fit on a standard size shelf, nor a standard sized media cabinet. Also, series X is not only huge, but also boring.
"Most people dont read bro.."
Facts.
According to Sony, their registered head location is: 1-7-1 Konan Minato-ku, Tokyo, 108-0075 Japan
I was really starting to wonder when did Sony stop being Japanese. Nope, they're still Japanese.

^ From Sony.
It does seem like they're getting a lot of chances. And that's because to them it's basically an arcade. As long as they have the quarters they can try as much as they want.
The game hasn't lost anything. It's in early access. Which means that players will come and go. Besides that, it has a defined start and end. It's not a live service game. It's not meant to be played forever. It has a fully functional single player game (with optional co-op) that can be added to your collection.
Right. What are these people smoking? It's needs all the buttons / sticks that exist on the PS5 controller.
I don't think Microsoft cares anymore about Xbox as a console. Realistically, we could be in a 2 console market next gen, with PC also becoming more popular possibly eclipsing consoles altogether.
No point in showing stuff that's 12+ months out. Wait until it's closer to release.
Nope, Luigi is destined to stick with mansions.
